October 30, 2011 - Volo Cask Days 2011 - gravity cask. Clear ruby-black with a small frothy beige head. Aroma and flavour - mostly deep coffee bean roast and licorice, not much alcohol. Light-bodied, weakly carbonated, with a ... licorice finish. Not bad, but a real mild one-noter - and I don’t like licorice. mabel (9246) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 14, 2011

A deep dark porter with a thick brown head. In aroma, a peaty chocolate with peaty notes, molasses and herbal. In mouth, a smooth chocolate with light acidic points, light molasses, a bit light but good. Cask Days, Oct. 30 2011. Radek Kliber (7359) - Toronto (Can) Krotoszyn (Pol), POLAND - NOV 10, 2011

Aroma still, rusty, musky with slight sourness, roasted barley, chocolate. Straight true character. 7+.
Appearance dark brown ale with white mid top. 4-
Flavor and Palate : medium bodied. Straight dark barley character, some sourness with dark depth. Smooth, clean mid end. Very drinkable porter with secondary lighter licorice notes.
2011-10-30. Black body with a modest fluffy tan head. 3+ Licorice flavour is not super strong, sweet dark malt, mild anise and roast in the finish. Mild aroma, similar dark malt and licorice notes. 6+ Average bodied palate is decent but just a touch thin for the beer. Decent, bit mild overall but enjoyable. Cask Days 2011, Toronto
