Draft. A pitch black beer with a brown head. The aroma is sweet with a lovely coffee note combined with notes of vanilla and dark milk chocolate and light notes of citrus. The flavor is sweet malty with very powerful notes of cocoa beans, dark bitter chocolate, and vanilla, citrus - especially grapefruit, leading to a dry bitter cocoa finish. UPDATED: JUN 25, 2007 Draught at Akkurat, Stockholm. Transparently black, creamy beige head. Lovely espresso aroma. Potent and sweet with notes of lingonberries, tobacco and licorice. Rather thick and oily with some molasses. Saccharine and resin comes through in the finish making it a bit harsh. Travlr (25236) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - MAY 25, 2010
750 ml bottle at DC local tasting. Dark brown, tan head. Aroma of cocoa, peppers, alcohol. Taste resembles the Italian chocolate sodas of Little Italy in New Yawk. Good stuff. Papsoe (25062) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - JUN 18, 2007
(Bottle 50 cl) Pours black and opaque with a creamy, beige head. Distincly burned, coffeeish aroma. Rather solid body with very burned accents, licorice, coffee, tar and a whiff of smoke. A vague acidity probably deriving from the malt - ditto with the heavy bitterness. 160607 cgarvieuk (24793) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - OCT 11, 2008
Bottle RBESG 07 ... While others liked this better i found it the poorer brother of the Full Idjit. HOWEVER it is still by far a superior beer to many. Deep black . light smokeyness with some fruit in nose ... juicy malts fruity with some tobacco tones especially in linger.
Tk2 draught at EBF Copenhagen 2008 ... Deep black ... rich malts ... little chocolate nose... deep malts rich alcohol ... little coffee and more roast malts.
Tk3 Bottle at home ... Thanks Jeppe ... Deep brown ... big tobacco nose ... deep roast lots of chocolate and tobacco ... quite a lot of fruit ... medium body ... low carbonation... Much as i enjoyed this again ... i wish i could get a 2nd bottle of the Full Idjit.
