Not one of my favourite Christmas beers this season. Miksu (5053) - Jyväskylä, FINLAND - JAN 10, 2013
0.33 l bottle, thanks hanniku! Reddish amber color. Sweet toffeish and caramelly aroma with yellow raisins and perhaps cardamon or coriander. Dryer taste with raisiny caramel, toffee and mild woody spiciness (clove?). Spiciness is very restrained, which is nice but there is too much caramel for my taste. ElDesmadre (3627) - Mikołów, POLAND - JAN 10, 2013
Bottle traded with Cunningham. Aroma is rather sweet - berries, root spices, caramelly malt and toffee. Very dry taste, The hollow, carmalley malty body (or rather its remains) is dominated by a spicy profile that still is not intense at all. The finish is light to medium bitter and the buttery notes semm a bit out of place. Disappointing - the lack of a stronger maltiness is not compensated by anything. Ingevara (910) - SWEDEN - JAN 6, 2013
Reddish brown, almost no head. Varied spicing that contains most familiar wintr ale spices, but perhaps in a lower quantity. Bitterness is also held back, low on carbonation. A nice drink, but easy forgotten. TheJestersBeer (2430) - SWEDEN - JAN 1, 2013
Pours a medium copper, with an off-white head.
Dry, medium body and bitterness, balanced CO2.
Spicy, malty in aroma and taste, caramel, cloves, toffee, chocolate, hops, orange peel, yeast, earth, juniper, slightly acidic? Nice winter ale, with a low ABV. (2012-12-26)
