Maltmann (4) - SWEDEN - DEC 4, 2012 does not count
Bottle, Systembolaget. If I close my eyes and just drink this beer, I could imagine myself being in a British pub in the seventies. Bitter FTW!
Bottled, from Systembolaget. Hazy amber, mid sized head. Pleasant aroma of spice and tangerine. Dryish with light body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Light and moreish with pleasant hop aromas, and mild bready malt. Long bitter finish. Really good! rarbring (2290) - Linköping, SWEDEN - FEB 19, 2013
Aroma: Smelling of bread, apple, nettles and hay.Grima (2506) - Merzkirchen, RLP, GERMANY - JUN 5, 2013
Appearance: A clear chestnut colored beer. A tan head with small lacing and some curtains.
Taste: Tasting brown bread, ripe apples, bitter orange marmalade and lemon peel.
Palate: Medium carbonation, a soft texture. A medium body with a somewhat dry finish.
Overall: A good but not extraordinary bitter. I would have preferred a notch less hops.
Note: Bottle 330 ml. Reviewed 2013-02-19.
330ml bottle from Cunningham. Huge thanx for that one!!!

Pours reddish amber colored with small creamy head. Smell is malty-caramelly, fruity, slight chocolatey. Starts with great hop flavor, fruity, with some citrus and pine woods. The middle part has lots of dark malts, dark fruits and fruity-citrussy hops. Goes into a hoppy-fruity, citrussy and malty-roasty finish! Really great one!
Bottle. Clear amber beer with an offwhite head. Hoppy and malty aroma and similar flavour. gnoff (10890) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - NOV 23, 2012

33 cl bottle from Systembolaget Nordstan, Göteborg. BB 2013-08-25 (I’m gussing some, the date on the cap is rather smudged). Sampled on November 23, 2012.
Clear copper to brown color, tan head. Sweet, malty, toffee, ginger, orange, spicy, butter scent. Spicy, ginger, ornage taste. Ginger aftertaste. Medium mouthfeel, medium bitterness.
(Will add that I rarely feel ginger in beer, even when it is stated ginger has been added, so might be another spice/character that I for some reason pick out as ginger?)
33 cl bottle from teh fridge, likely way too old, but lets see how it holds up?
Samled on February 22, 2014.
Clear brown color, fluffy lasting tan head, also lacing on the glass. Malty, slight roasted scent, some disturbing old vegetables scent. Malty, rather fresh at first taste. Goes a bit mineral and towards nettles in the aftertaste though. Medium thin mouthfeel, medium low bitterness.
Since this is over the BB date quite a bit and I have a rating since before when fresh, I’ll leave the old scores.
If I were to rate this how I feel about it, even though old, it’d be: 5/4/6/2/11=2.8
