Tasting at Bruce’s pad. Cheers Leighton for the Svenska tick. Hazy amber beer, little pale tan head. Light dry palate. Mild minerally carbonation. Tangy malt, a little bitter toffee. Bitterish dried fruit hops/ Minerally crisp finish. Yep - it’s a bitter all right! Very English in character apart from the palate.

Bottle at Bruce’s, London. One of my additions. Pours clear, light red-brown with a lasting, frothy tan head. Dry toasty bread and leaves in the nose. Light sweet flavor, dry bread, leafy bitterness, some dirt. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Dirty earthy bitterness to finish, toasty bread, leaves, very subtle hints of cocoa. Pretty solid bitter.

Pours a clear dark amber with a small white head. The malt dominates the aroma which continues in the mouth. A slight bitter finnish that does not last. A typical påsk öl but far from a good bitter.

Det här var en ganska akön och bitter sak, kroppen är kanske lite tunn men på det stora hela var det en positiv upplevelse.
