A Mes rate: Bottle at home, thanks to Jonte.saxo (18625) - Højbjerg, Aarhus, DENMARK - JUN 24, 2010
Attractive russet brown colour with a thin beige head. Sharp malty stuff with plenty of sugar and burnt toast. Some caramel and preserve fruits too. Strange hops that never seem to quite integrate with the rest of the beer but do however, provide an enjoyable grassy bitterness in the finish that lasts well. Aside from the hops seeming a little seperate, it does balance out nicely. Interesting and reasonably enjoyable.
Bottle. Nice head with good duration. Color is amber. Aroma and taste are caramel, spices, some roasted malt and hops. Nice bitter finish.

33cl bottle from Systembolaget. Best before 2012-06-11. It poured a golden colour with a massive head and lots of carbonation. Hops is the first thing that springs to mind about the aroma. On subsequent sniffs nuts, malts and some caramel reveals themselves as well. Flavour is typical of an ESB. Nuts, caramel and toffee. A tad oily. No hops at first, but they take some time to show up, but when they do they linger for a ling time. Matching bitterness that isn’t too dominant. Medium long aftertaste. 330ml bottle thanks to Cousin Matt. Pours misted copper with a tidy, fine-moussed off white head. Malt-driven aroma with hints of fig and milk chocolate coated toffee. Flavour similar; figgy, sweet, lightly sprinkled with mocha and berry notes; hints of toffee and rust. Decent.
