Pours deep amber into a Sam glass. White head with little retention recedes to coat surface. Sweet tropical fruit aromas. Sweet caramel and tropical fruit upfront turning to slightly sour earthy resin in the lasting finish. hawthorne00 (3906) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - SEP 1, 2012
Bottle. Pale amber with a white head. Aroma of grapefruit, orange, grass, peaches, slight cardboard. Bittersweet with peaches and just a little caramel. Earthy, slightly spicy. Citrus flavours get a bit lost. Bitterness is subdued relative to the hop aromatics, but spices linger a while. OK, but I don’t think it quite made the journey. Curiously boozy nose. Bright up front; boring finish. Hop side offers some citrus, mostly orange and maybe a hint of lemon. Malt side is corny and honey-ish, with only a subtle hint of caramel. Finishes with some alcoholic warmth, even at just 7.5 percent. Hop aromas are one-dimensional and unexciting. The beer’s bitterness is weak, adding to the cloying factor. Overall, it’s an OK beer, but it’s an unexciting IPA that lacks depth. _angst_ (4802) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - JUL 30, 2012
UPDATED: JUL 31, 2012 Draught @ The Rover. Pours slightly hazy deep golden with a small creamy white head that sticks to the glass leaving lots of lacing while slowly dissipating. Smell is slightly sweet with bread, orange zest, butterscotch, grass, apricots and hints of pine. Taste is slightly sweet, slightly bitter, tiny sour and very metallic with bread, mandarin oranges, lemon zest, unripe plums, grass, sheet metal and hints of biscuits and pine. Mouthfeel is round, harsh, tiny astringent and medium bodied. Finish is bitter and tiny sour with mandarin oranges, pineapple, grass, bread and hints of metal, citrus zest and peaches. Rather nasty metallic taste.

On tap @ Tre Små Rum, Gothenburg. Pours a deep amber body with a big white head. Aroma is floral grassy hops, peaches, hints of pale malts, honey and fresh grass. Taste is fresh grass, caramel malts, hints of peaches, parsley, lemon grass and cat pee. Smooth and nice mouthfeel. A pleasant IPA, though quite mild and not very bitter. drpimento (3576) - La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA - JUL 1, 2012
I don’t know, it seems like the Dugges beers have a similar flavor profile that I’m just not that into. Poured this one at a good temperature with an average size, cream-colored, foamy head that soon settles to a light cover and some lace. Color is a clear orange amber with a few bubble trails. Aroma is caramel, malt, hop, wet carboard. Flavor’s similar to nose, sweet, wet cardboard on top with the bitter and some carbonic tang below and after along with some medicinal and woody flavors. Body and carbonation might be good, but there’s a lingering heavy sweetness that distracts. Finish is like flavor, too sweet, long and not that pleasant. I’ll finish this beer and that’s it. Too bad; nice label, for what that’s worth. AirForceHops (7144) - Epping, New Hampshire, USA - JUN 29, 2012
Bottle. 1 pint .9 oz. from Natures Way Market, South Berwick for $7.59. Beautiful hazy amber color. Real thin white head that still showed some retention. High carbonation died down after several minutes. Had to hit a warmer temperature until I could get a mixture of sweet malt and pine hops in the nose. Underwhelming nose aside, the taste is still good. Lots of Earthy hops. Pine, whole cone like bitterness. Caramel blended with the herbs and hops. Very abrupt short finish. It’s decent but nothing to really search for.
