Beerlando (3342) - Orlando, Florida, USA - NOV 14, 2011
500ml bottle, as fresh as we can get it in the States (best by July 2012). The pour yields a very lightly hazy, dark golden-amber colored body with an initially tall yet quickly fading head of beige froth. Sticky honeycomb lacing marks the glass. The nose is sweet and muddled, showing loads of clover honey, toasted marshmallow, caramel, and stale bread. It’s also alcoholic, suggesting of mead almost. Hops seem faded, taking on an orange marmalade character. There is some mild spice, along wit suggestions of pepper. Flavors are overly sweet for an IPA, far too honey driven, with stale bready tendencies. Cardboard isn’t far off base. Hops are old and musty. The palate is under carbonated, syrupy, and just kind of drab overall. This beer is a failure. Best by July 2012...yeah right.

hopdog (12341) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 9, 2011
Bottle. Hazy amber pour with an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of citrus, caramel, with some floralness. Tastes of citrus, floral, toasted caramel, and lighter pine.

Bottle. Pours a dark orange color with an off white head. Aroma is hoppy with notes of pine, citrus, earth and herbs along with sweet and caramel malts. The flavor follows the nose with the pine, citrus, earth and herbal notes, some astringency and a candy like sweetness along with sweet and caramel malts. Overall a pretty solid IPA in the American East Coast style.

PorterPounder (7893) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - OCT 15, 2011
Tallahassee, Fl - Liquor Loft - 1 pt .9 fl oz bottle. Pours a murky dark orange with a sticky white head that leaves plenty of lacing. Pleasant light spruce aroma with some floral notes. Flavor is lightly bittered with tangy citrus, light vanilla, some sweet biscuity notes. Mouthfeel is thick and sticky. Very solid.

500. Pours a murky dark amber with a loose and sudsy whitish head. Big caramel nose with some dirty gym socks. Creamy medium body with some lively carb. Caramel and gym socks on the mid-palate. Nitrogenous gym-sock-y finish.

drowland (8629) - Georgia, USA - OCT 8, 2011
10/8/11. Bottle. Hazy amber pour, not quite orange but not quite red, with a small khaki head that fades but laces a ton. Bold hop aroma with citrus, a lot of grapefruit, and a little bit of musty pine, but the hop character seems a bit earthy and old. There’s also touches of caramel in there. Bold flavor that is very unique... citrus, butterscotch, pine, seltzer water, a bit of cough medicine, and lingering breadiness. Almost a bit weird, but nice.
