Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. (140608)
50 cL bottle. Pours hazy hazzlenut brown with a slowly collapsing light tan head. Grapefruity and dense caramel malt aroma. Flavour is solid hoppy with a mild apple fruitiness and a solid caramel malt base. Holds a distinct oily grapefruity flavour too. Finish is light fruity and medium solid bitter. Ends medium dry. An amber beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma is sweet malty with strong notes of caramel and a flowery dusty hop note. The flavor is very sweet with lots of caramel, which makes the mouthfeel a bit sticky, combined with alcohol lurching in the back ground. The hops notes are flowery - with a touch of lime - a combination of English and American hops? The body is thick. My first guess would not be an IPA, rather a English Strong Ale. joergen (30001) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - AUG 27, 2006

12th August 2013<>Craft Clerkenwell. Keg. Almost clear amber beer. Small white head. Palate is smooth with fine carbonation. Sweetish malt, trace of caramel. The malt is a little more dominant than the sweetish marmalde hops. Finishes sweet. Very drinkable, if a bit sweet. cgarvieuk (26868) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - NOV 21, 2008
Bottle at home from my Copenhagen haul ... Nice copper with big short lived foam head ... malty pine hop ... big fruity pine hop ... little sweet ... big citrus ...little smokey ... Having with a spicy pizza had destroyed the subtly tones ... but its really working for me ... another duggees hit... though a bit over carbonated oh6gdx (26485) - Vasa, FINLAND - AUG 29, 2006

UPDATED: SEP 20, 2006 [Draught at Glenfiddich Warehouse 68, Stockholm] Hazy brownish amber, firm head. Concentrated hay aroma of English hops with some orange thrown in. Dryish with clean mouthfel. Solidly malty. Roasty with notes of chocolate and rather intense hop presence. Salty finish with long bitterness. Well balanced - far from the American hop monsters, and possibly more of a good, overhopped English strong ale. Papsoe (25054) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - SEP 7, 2006
(On tap) Beautiful, clear, dark amber with a small, off-white head. Very fat hop aroma. Medium body with rich, caramelish notes and then an extremeky fresh, citrusy hopping that leaves a solid but not overpowering bitterness. Doesn’t really appear to be 7.5% 240806
