COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Malty and spritzy. Fruity and hoppy. Deep in aroma, lightly sweet but fullbodied and rich. I’ll buy this one again.

[9/22/11] Mahleket Hanikot Shotrim ’11 tour. Bottle in some bar in Malmo. Clear amber color with a medium beige head. Great citrusy hoppy aroma. Bitter hoppy flavor with grapefruit, pine and a bit of slightly cookie-ish sweetish malt in the background. Medium-bodied. A really good IPA.

[On draught at The Rover, Göteborg] Hazy dark amber colour. Flowery sweetish aroma from US and UK hops. Alcohol is detected in flavour, as is a bit of sourness, yet with hoppy backbone with notes of grapefruits. I found the bitterness a bit papery, but it lingers nicely until Mr Sandman calls.

(Draught at Glenfiddich Warehouse 68, Stockholm) Colour is dark brown, leaning towards mahogany, with a firm off-white head. Nose is malty, with underlying fruitiness, notes of dried fruit, dark cherries, blackberries and dusty hops. Taste is rather complex: starts fruity with dried fruit, prunes, raisins and underlying notes of dusty hops, turns maltier with chocolate, caramel and dark cherries, leaves slowly with fat notes of dusty hops in a bitter-sweetish finish. Complex stuff, but with great balance.

Dark redbrown with thin beige head. Citrus aroma with notes of hops, grass and fudge. Hoppy flavour with notes of dark chocolate. Sweet. Nice bitterness that could be taken up a notch or two
