Pours a very dark brown with a tan head. Aroma of nice piney hops, weak herbal notes, roasted malts, chocolate and cocoa. The taste is bitter and roasted and the malts and hops blends very nice. Grassy hops, pine, roasted malts, coffee, weak dry cocoa, weak citrus and some liquorice. A nice black IPA! spacecube (1740) - Leeds, West Yorkshire, ENGLAND - APR 7, 2015
330ml bottle, pours black with a tan head. Aroma is a balance of biscuit, roasted malt, dry, piney hop, grapefruit citrus notes. Not much chocolate or cocoa here, more hoppy. Body is light, texture oily, carbonation soft to average. Finish is lightly bitter with a lasting bitterness in the aftertaste. Nice black IPA. JohnRMurdoch (4986) - Glasgow, SCOTLAND - MAR 28, 2015
330ml bottle from Beerhive. Very dark brown with reddish tinge. Woody treacle tar hop aroma. Dry molasses flavour. Bitter aftertaste. More imperial stout than black IPA mmyohane (108) - Helsinki, FINLAND - MAR 28, 2015
Aroma has chocolate, coffee, plums and citrus peel from the hops. Pours dark brown with s small head that leaves lacing. Taste has almost heavy bitterness and light sweetness. Grapefruit. Full bodied with average carbonation and long bitter finish. Kauge (1986) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - MAR 25, 2015
Bottle from a Systembolaget in Stockholm. BB... I think it was around 7.2015. The beer pours a dark brown colour, head’s light tan, big, retention and lacing good. Nose is nice pungent hops and chocolate and roast and citrus... Taste is sweet of tropical fruits, roast and notes of chocolate, finishing in a citrusy bitterness. Nice mild chocolaty overall thing going on mixed with even nicer fruitiness. Body lighter side of medium, carbonation livelier than your average BIPA, but still rather thin, palate oily and somewhat grainy. Somewhat dry in the finish. Overall? Nice!

Poured from bottle, deep dark brown, almost black with low fizzy beige head. Strong aroma with notes of caramel, leather, toffee, dried fruit, some citrus and pine, though a sharp butter note drowns almost all other notes, perhaps old. Taste is bitter and sweet, followed by a surprisingly light malt body leading to a long bitter finish. Some chocolate and coffee is there but very slight, mostly hoppiness with a citrus/grape/resin taste. Scottishchris (723) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - MAR 1, 2015

330ml bottle from the beerhive. Pours opaque dark brown, thin beige head. Aromas of resinous hops, light toffee. Taste is bitter in both a roasted way, and an oily way. Good hop bitterness. Slight feel of two different things going on, not melding that well. Clashing a bit, but not a bad beer overall. jamestulloch (4214) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - FEB 23, 2015
Bottle from The Beerhive. Dark brown body with a modest beige head. Light lacing. Aroma of maple, plum, candy and treacle. Flavour of blackcurrant, brambles, muscavado sugar, liquorice and dark chocolate. Medium body with a creamy mouthfeel. Soft fizz. A truly special Black IPA - dark and fruity with something new revealed on every sip. I want to try more from this brewery.
