Clear medium to dark brown color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting to diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, light coffee, moderate to light heavy hoppy, grapefruit, orange - citrus, light licorice. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, licorice, caramel, roasted, grapefruit. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
Bottle, thnx to rlgk! Cheers man! Pours a dark brownish beer with a nice amount of creamy beige head on top. Aroma has dark fruits, licorice, touch of fruity yeast, caramel and roast. Flavor is a great mix of all those aroma’s, nice and bitter with deep, licorice tones playing a great role in this beer. Long, light cloying aftertaste, bittersweet and full of roasty characters. Medium carbonation, oily texture. Nice beer! Enegaard (75) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - FEB 15, 2014
Tap at Fermentoren. Pours black, deep brown/red when seen in front of light, with a light hazel head. Aroma of citrus, pineapple and burned malts, massive cocoa all of a sudden, baked apples - really gentle mix of aromas, could smell this one for ages! Lot’s of toasted malts, coffeish cocoa darkness and bitterness. Could do with some (more?) dryhopping I feel, but perhabs it would over trump the subtle toasty notes. Not being a big black IPA fan, I really dig this one! Not to heavy, sticky or sweet. You keep finding new tastes in there, just got a huge creamy peach wave - awesome!
