Bottle, from a trade with Cunningham. A high frothy lacing sand-colored head, over a ruby-hued dark brown see-trough body. Moderate aroma of mild, rounded dark malts and fruity hops. Soft and creamy in the mouth. Mid-bodied. Taste is more prononced. Roasty and hoppy, with a prominent malt- and hop bitterness. A potent and tasty beverage, reminiscent of an US-styled Porter.

Moebbels (760) - FINLAND - JAN 18, 2014
Pours a very dark brown, almost black color. The head settles down to a thin uneven layer that leaves lots of lacing on the glass. Nose has pine, liquorice, dark syrup, smoke and caramel. Taste is dry and very smooth with a long and roasty dry finish. Carbonation is quite soft and the palate feels medium thick with a light oiliness to it. This is quite nice, smooth and tasty.

Bottled from Systembolaget, sampled on January 11, 2014.
Very dark red to black color, medium sized fairly lasting tan to light brown head. Hoppy, citrus, hints of roasted scent. Roasted, dry, malty, hoppy taste. Dry grainy, black malt, bitter aftertaste. After a whike the aftertaste settles more towards roasted malt with some bittter malts, rather prolonged. Medium to smooth, a bit fizzy, mouthfeel. Medium high bitterness with distinct hop character and some minerals.
There is some vegetal or forrest mushroom character in scent and taste, but not apparent enough to be disturbing.
