Leighton 10K tasting at Bruce’s pad. Thanks to CDA hound Colin. Hazy dark brown beer, tidy pale tan head. Smooth palate, light, airy and dry. Very fine carbonation. Mild dark malts. Nice plummy fruits in the mid. Back end is spicy pine hops. Turns a little sweeter before the light finish. Nice one.

Bottle shared in London - many thanks to the CDA first lieutenant, Colin. Pours deep brown with a frothy, tan head. The nose has dark fruits, mellow cocoa, soft roast. Light to medium sweet flavor with strong, slightly harsh bitter earth, baking cocoa, charred wood. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Burnt wood on the finish, light raisins, bittersweet cocoa. Pretty straightforward, pretty decent.

Black color with small sized head. The hop aroma is fresh and very nice; it has a sweaty and resiny character; very light manure too; roasted malts are in the background. The mouthfeel is very smooth; it has an excellent dry coffee flavor, and the hop brings a pleasant fruity and resiny touch.
Very fresh and good beer.
