COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

330ml bottle from Systembolaget. Dark with a small, fluffy, tan head. The aroma is strong but not deep, roasted malt, coffee, leather. Thick, oily mouthfeel, low carbonated. The taste is complex, coffee, malt, dark chocolate, licorice. Finish round in the mouth with a short bitterness and long sweetness.

Bottle shared with Ashton McCobb. Pours deep near black with a thin tan head. Aromas of liquorice, light smoke, tar. Taste is roasted hazelnuts, pistachio maybe, more tar. Light sweet finish. Strange lumps at the bottom of the glass.

Bottle thanks to allmyvinyl. Appearance - close to opaque black with a lovely fawn head. Nose - hazelnuts, pistachios, light smoke and molasses. Taste - molasses and tar. Dry liquorice. Palate - medium to full bodied with a creamy texture and a long and persistent finish. Overall - i like a beer I can chew.

Pours a two finger khaki head that vanishes leaving no lace. Black color no highlights. Light-medium carbonation and medium bodied. Licorice nose and flavor is smoky malt and licorice. High ABV is hidden. Seriously expensive at $16.95 for a 500ml bottle from Colonial Spirits Acton, MA

Und dann sind diese ganzen Imperialen doch gleich. Röstung, Malz, etwas Kaffee, ein bisschen Nuss und neben ordentlich Perlung auch eine ausgeprägte Bitterkeit. Eigentlich mag ich so was null. Aber dennoch ist das hier ein feines Piwo.

McTapps (6984) - Reutlingen, GERMANY - MAY 12, 2015
Bottle from Siranselm - many thanks, Marcus! The beer has got a deep black colour with a steady low head and medium body. Aroma of malt, coffee and chocolate. Taste of dark chocolate, malt, roasted hops, coffee, dark plums, ripe dark fruits, barley and wine. Smooth and easy to dirnk, good beer.

330 ml bottle. Unclear dark brown body with a bid, dense beige head. Really nice aroma of chocolate, dark malt, some coffee and fruity hops. Flavor is sweet, smooth, roasted malt, dark chocolate, some coffee, dry fruit and good bitterness. Fine body and good aftertaste. Smooth, rich flavored and high drinkability. Alcohol is well hidden.
