Vestergaard (2089) - Aarhus C, DENMARK - MAY 23, 2014
Bottle, exp. 2015. Pours fairly "clear" dark brown to black. No head. Aroma is huge, sweet, chocolate, not much roast. Taste on the other hand is nothing like the aroma: Roasted, licorice, coffee, slight leather, slight vanilla. Rather prominent alcohol. Not enough body for such a low carbonation, though the alcohol adds some sharpness to it. Heat in the end. Decent taste, but overall no great beer. RasmusOtt (2761) - Aarhus, DENMARK - MAY 23, 2014
Pours transparent black with no head. Aroma is quite sweet with buttery chocolate, dark sweet fruits - I especially get prunes and dates. Also some vanilla, brown sugar and caramel. Taste is less sweet with liquorice, chocolate, some roasted notes, dark fruits, vanilla, coffee and quite boozy. Body is on the thin side and with almost no carbonation - not a good combination. But a decent stout. MRMedellin (299) - Bogota, COLOMBIA - MAY 21, 2014
Dark almost black beer, with a brown head, which recede after a couple of seconds, aromas of nuts, ashes, resin, and some leather notes. It is full bodied, with an oily texture, the flavor has a clear coffee and dark chocolate flavors, and a balanced alcohol flavor in the middle. with a persistent aftertaste. really enjoyable Theydon_Bois (19494) - Hazlemere, the lower Xhitlerns, Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - MAY 20, 2014
Keg at CBC Covvy Gee, 12/05/14 - not opening night!
Light black with a moderate tan swrl and edgework.
Nose is big old roast malt, earthy cocoa, grain, toffee, bitter notes, light coffee grinds.
Taste comprises bitter roast which is balanced well with sweet toffee fudge, dark chocolate, lightly singed caramel.
Medium bodied, fine carbonatio, sweet subtle roasterana in the closure.
Decent well balanced impy, not overly complex, but an easy drinking affair. The ABV is well integrated. JefVerstraete (3351) - Oosterzele, BELGIUM - MAY 4, 2014
Bottle from De Hopduvel. Dark brown colour, beige foam, disappears quickly. Aroma of roasted malts, coffee and sweet caramel. Light bitter finish. Good IRS.

Very rosted and burnt aroma. Particulary burnt toast is present with notes of coffe and smokieness hawthorne00 (3946) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - APR 16, 2014
Pitch black, beige head
Taste is full of good roastiness, burnt toast, creamy nuttiness, liquorice and coffee and some peaty smokieness
Full body, average carbonation pretty dry
Fantastic imperial stout with a focus on roastiness instead of malty sweetness. I had forgotten how good it was
Bottle. Gloopy pour. Are there going to be snot-like chunks at the bottom of the glass? - unhappily yes, maybe kept too cold too long. Black with a small tan head that never quite disappears. Aroma of (good) dark chocolate, vanilla, some berries, other spices. Silky, low carbonation. Very sweet with chocolate, some molasses and coffee. Roasted flavours creep up through the sweetness into firm bitterness with some hard spices (anise) and a little warmth at the end. Zer0 (1224) - The Hague, NETHERLANDS - MAR 11, 2014
Draught at Beertemple, Amsterdam. Pours dark brown with a lacy brown head. Aroma is big roast, soy sauce and some smoke. Taste is on the bitter side, moderate sweet. Full bodied, pretty good. MarcoDL (4920) - NETHERLANDS - MAR 8, 2014
Solid imperial stout. Strongly roasted, thick mouthfeel and with some spices. Good. JulienHuxley (5807) - Sherbrooke, Quebec, CANADA - FEB 28, 2014
On tap at BeerTemple. Black brown pour, tenacious tan foam. Aroma is quite smoky, something a bit soy sauce like, definitely umami. Taste is roasty, umami, almost meaty, a touch smoky. Palate is medium bodied, pretty dry, good carbonation. Nice original Is.
