The aroma is beautifully hoppy with citrus, herbs, and hay. The malt is there too. The appearance is amber. The taste is like the aroma and bitter sweet. The palate is typical for the style. Overall a nice beer.

Bottle. Pours amber with nice full head. Can't place aroma at all. Must use a kind of hops I'm not familiar with as much. Some sweetness with nice bitter notes. Interesting take on the style. Caramel comes through. This beer could use a dry hopping to get it to finish like a dipa. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pour is a dark copper with a small white head. Aroma is a very nice piney hop with a caramel base malt. Flavor is a way sweet malt with a decent but not overpowering hop profile. Finish is again a very sweet malt on the tounge. I did get this outta the bargan bin but the hops were still showing up, its just a little too sweet to move this into a higher rating.

Bottle. Pours slightly hazy amber with thin, fizzy white head; short retention and some lacing. Aroma is floral and grassy hops, citrus fruit, caramel and cereal malt, and light earthy notes. Flavor is heavy hops with light sweet malt and citrus esters; dry, hoppy finish. Medium body, carbonation, and warmth.

UPDATED: APR 3, 2012 From the 3/2012 3R6P tasting. My first beer from this brewery and I have to say that I was not impressed. +++ Sampled from a 16 oz brown bottle this beer poured a dark caramel color with a medium sized creamy off white head. The aroma was sugar, fruity and tangy hops, dish soap, chalk, Pez candies and bubblegum. The flavor was tangy and sweetish Sweettart candies, Pez candies and chalk. The finish was long, dry tart and chalky. Medium body. Disappointing and in no way resembles a double IPA.

Aroma was sweet with slight floral/citrus/resin aroma (Simcoe hops?). Color was unexpectedly dark and murky. Only slightly bitter, the hop flavor and aroma is what carries this beer. Not to say that it is balanced - it is not. It is flat on the pallet and way too sweet. I would like to compare what came out of my bottle - a world away from Sweden - with something fresh off the tap - in Sweden. Still, a decent example of a Simcoe (or Simcoe-like) IPA.

Appearance: deep worn copper hues under an off-white head which quickly fades into a thin layer bordered by a bubbly collar. Swirls with patchy lace and a thick blanket.
Nose: citrus zest zow! Massive key lime, lemon, Lemoncello, mandarin, grapefruit. Burnt caramel apples in the middle, sticky. Freshly mown green grass. Raw green vegetables. Rustic, baled straw, wet oak planks.
Palate: sweet raw vegetation green grass, aloe, and cactus. Lemon, key lime, and mandarin oils and peel. Big middle with raw red apple skins and candied apple skins. Rustic underbelly of fresh oak planks, straw husks. Sticky resiny hop oils. Yellow grapefruit.
Final Thoughts: delicious! Wasnt sure what to expect but I should know better now to expect fantastic beers from pretty much any of the small artisanal breweries in Sweden. Fantastic!

With a clean bronze body, this certainly looked dark for a double IPA. The aroma was mainly sweet and a tad earthy; lots of leaves and citrus notes. The taste had a touch of hops but quickly settled into rich malts with a sense of alcohol. Pretty good but not balanced well at all.

Deep coppery brown color with a thin tannish head. A little tart with a nice hoppiness that is neither too bitter nor floral. Smooth finish. Alcohol content is well masked.
