Lots of caramel and toasted malt on the nose, sweet, residual sugars are there, earthy dirt, wood, leaf like hop notes. Black pepper, and a hint of pine/dank. Pours deep copper, creamy head settles to a thin layer. The flavor is mostly sweet up front, caramel and toast, residual sweetness followed by dry earthy peppery hops, hints of floral and fruity notes, lingering diry/earth finish. Heavy on the sweet/residual sugar side, low on the hop side.

Bottle. Copper with a rocky, foamy beige head. Aroma is herbal and floral hops mixed with tropical fruit, caramel and citrus. Taste is spicy and herbal hops, earthy hops, tropical fruit, caramel, cake, sweet malt, and citrus. Body is medium with a soft, creamy carbonation. Finishes with more sweet malt, caramel, herbal hops, floral notes, light citrus and ripe tropical fruit. Different than I expected. Expected more citrus and pine and was pleasantly surprised by something different.

On tap. Copper with small white head. Aroma of pine and flowers hop with malt and caramel. Flavor is sweet and malty with a fairly balanced hop punch; pine mostly.

Bottle at a tasting. Juicy, lots of flavour, citrusy, fruity. Classic IPA. Rich hops character overwhelming your brain. Unnecessary maltiness and stuff is kept to the minimum. Well attenuated, highly carbonated. Great drinker.

Dark/hazy amber colour. Decent size off white head. Smells flowers and sweet. Tastes too sweet, blue curacao. Very low carbo, medium body.

(500ml bottle best by Nov 2011 thanks to blutt59) clear copper with fine white ring of bubbles. Nose is floral, potpourri, herbs, caramel and brown sugar. Taste of umami, cracker, pine, orange, some weirdness I can’t identify.

The same flavor as all the other European iPas, huge flower flavors, at least this one isn’t overly sweet

Thanks to IBrew2or3 for the share. Pours amber with orange and some yeast smell. Flavor wasn’t that great tasted of a soury orange, glad it was a split bottle, I wouldn’t be able to finish the whole bottle.

JohnnyJ (5569) - San Diego, California, USA - JUL 1, 2011
Bottle. Clear orange copper pour, with a thin white head. Malt, orange peel, citrusy hops, yeast, fruity, and light caramel sweetness. Moderately interesting for a DIPA, but I wouldn’t drink it again.

500ml bottle in a shaker. Pours golden/amber with an off-white head. Aroma of floral and pine hops and a little caramel hops. Flavor really strong of floral hops. Average texture, a little thin for this style. A pretty good beer though.
