Bottle. Clear orange copper pour, with a thin white head. Malt, orange peel, citrusy hops, yeast, fruity, and light caramel sweetness. Moderately interesting for a DIPA, but I wouldnt drink it again.

Thanks to IBrew2or3 for the share. Pours amber with orange and some yeast smell. Flavor wasnt that great tasted of a soury orange, glad it was a split bottle, I wouldnt be able to finish the whole bottle.

Sampled on 8/6/2011, This Imperial IPA pours a medium orange gold color from a 50cl bottle. Medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is caramel, fruity, sweet and tropical. A medium bodied Double IPA. The malts are fruity, caramel, and tropical. The hops are somewhat muted, somewhat herbal and citrusy. Mild carbonation. This is a weird beer, there is something else going on here and I cant quite figure it out. I am not sure I like it, whatever it is. May not be a good traveler. From other reviews it sounds like it a way better beer closer to home. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

500ml bottle in a shaker. Pours golden/amber with an off-white head. Aroma of floral and pine hops and a little caramel hops. Flavor really strong of floral hops. Average texture, a little thin for this style. A pretty good beer though.

Bottle. Pours slightly hazy amber with thin, fizzy white head; short retention and some lacing. Aroma is floral and grassy hops, citrus fruit, caramel and cereal malt, and light earthy notes. Flavor is heavy hops with light sweet malt and citrus esters; dry, hoppy finish. Medium body, carbonation, and warmth.

Thanks to IBrew2or3 for the share. Pours clear orange amber with a white head. Nose is orange, some malt, sour orange, and some strange yeast. Flavor is similar- strange syrupy orange/ sour orange quality. Medium-bodied and ok.

Miksu (5046) - Jyvskyl, FINLAND - AUG 13, 2008
Draught at SOPP 2008, Helsinki. Reddish brown color with creamy tan head. Sweet, caramelly, berryish and hoppy aroma with lemony-flowery hops as well as grassy dry hops. Bittersweet, berrryish, caramelly and hoppy flavor with flowery, lemony and black curranty hops. Chewy and caramelly mouthfeel is detracting and masking the hops.

500ml Bottle: Aroma of malt, diacetyl, light hops, slight caramel, and slight herbs. Poured copper/orange in color with a small, off-white head that diminished but lasted throughout as a film on top of the beer. Hazy. Sparkling. Flavor is lightly sweet and lightly bitter. Tastes of malt, diacetyl, hops, and light caramel. Medium body. Slick, lightly oily, then lightly dry texture. Average carbonation. Malt, hop, and diacetyl finish is medium sweet and slightly bitter. This beer did not survive the trip to the US very well.

OleR (4804) - Oslo, NORWAY - JUL 15, 2008
Draught @ The Rover, Gteborg. Medium-sized tanned head with long duration. Clear, dark reddish brown colored body. Massive aroma of fresh and fruity hops up front. Grapefruit, lime and tropical. Then a scent of caramel and mild chocolate. Taste is full malty, deliciously sweet with an intense, fruity and resiny hopbitterness. Grapefruit, pine and berries. After a while some tones of chocolate and toasted dark malts develops, giving assosiations to a hoppy Stout... Full body and no traces of alcohol, only a light heat in the mouth. Texture is smooth. Long hopbitter finish. A punchy and extremely refreshing IIPA.

([email protected]) Clear, dark reddish brown with a small, tanned head. Caramely-roasted-malty aroma with some grainy alcohol presence and hints of vegetables. Smoky, caramely-malty flavor with some color maltiness, licorice, peat, quite bitter and aromatic hops. Hides the alcohol well. Medium to full body with soft carbonation. Pleasantly hoppy, smoky and well-balanced.
