Pours pitch black with a soapy tan head that leaves some nice looking lacing. Nose is full of roasty and smokey notes, oak, weirdly enough popcorn, dark fruits. Flavour is great, loads of roasted malts, smokey oak, vanilla, dark fruits, some burnt notes. Just a hint of alcohol. Full mouthfeel with with a great and long aftertaste. Top stuff!

rouhlas (3885) - Thessaloniki, GREECE - JAN 11, 2015
250ml bottle. Black color with small frothy beige head. Aroma is roasted malty, chocolate, vanilla, dark fruits, wood, alcohol. Taste is sweet and bitter like the aroma. Medium to full sticky body with soft to flat carbonation.

Beermack (725) - London, Bedfordshire, ENGLAND - NOV 28, 2014
25cl bottle shared at 3 Sma Rum, Gothenburg. Mahogany, syrupy with thin wisps of tan froth. Lots of barrel on the nose, vanilla, light smoke, lots of licorice, chocolcate - lovely. Vanilla and licorice start the taste, with thicker roastiness and chocolate coming in. Dark figs and prunes. More barrel. Light bit of booze. Great balance. Long lingering barrel and deep roast. Cracking.

Enjoyit (3809) - Vadum, DENMARK - JUN 14, 2014
Black of color with no head. An aroma of liqurice, wood and alcohol. A flavor of oak, vanilla, roasted malt, bitter - maybe too much oak.

Theydon_Bois (20886) - Hazlemere, the lower Xhitlerns, Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - APR 1, 2014
Bottle shared at 3 Sma Rum, Goteborg, big thanks to Reza and Jmgreenuk for setting this gift up, 21/03/14.
Pitch black with a moderate off white covering that clears to edgeing.
Nose is big dark fruits, roasted malt, spice, raisens, dark chocolate, molasses.
Taste comprises big roasty tones, earthy, big on dark chocolate, molasses, rich dark fruits, light streak of booze.
Medium bodied, oily on the palate, fine carbonation, sweet close.
Great stuff, rich on flavours, fairly easy sipper, never too boozey.

Bottle from rlgk (thanks Ronny!). Pours a still jet black. Aromas of chocolate, honey, caramel, and dark fruits to go along with some oak. Hot damn. Really awesome so far. Taste brings more chocolate and raisins with a little booze as well. Palate is lightly carbonated and slick. Finish is sticky with more chocolate and caramel raisin. Maybe a slight bourbon tinge in there as well. This was quite a treat. I think I waited too long to try this one, but that’s all my fault. Drink now if you still have it...likely on the downswing.

jmgreenuk (10094) - Kuala Lumpur, MALAYSIA - MAR 21, 2014
Bottle at 3 Sma Rum, Gothenburg. Poured a deep mahogany with a round tan head. The aroma is super rich alcoholic malt liqourice dark chocolate, coffee. The flavour is strong malt alcoholic liqourice light fruit. Full bodied with flat carbonation and a rich oily mouthfeel. This is probably the richest most chewy beer I’ve ever had. Thanks Reza! Much appreciated.

25cl bottle courtesy of and shared with kermis. Big thanks. Thin tan head. Aroma of alcohol and raisins. Clear black pour. Very complex. Lovely!
