bottle(thanks to Blomster) at my leaving FL throwdown(17Dec10)pours dark brown with a medium light tan head. Aroma is peated malts with mild roast and leathery wood notes. Flavor is peat, rye and smoke. Reminded me of a watered down scotch with some roast. Brix (660) - DENMARK - JAN 8, 2011
Tasted 2011-01-08. Pours dark brown - almost black. Smoky aroma. Light coffee scent. Roasted malts. Bacon-ish flavours. Moderately bitter. Decent. olsvammel (7289) - Örebro, SWEDEN - JAN 7, 2011
Bottle from Systembolaget. It poured a pitch black liquid with a medium sized light brown head. Sweet smell with a waft of milk chocolate. Taste of chocolate, toast, biscuits, malts and a hint of smoke. Smooth mouthfeel with a thick and creamy body. Nice and malty beer that should work great with food.

Bottled at Stockholm Beer and Whisky Festival 2010. Opaque dark brown color. The aromas of licorice and chocolate. Sweet flavor with coffee, dark sugar, raisins and licorice. Too sweet for me. grungejesus (51) - SWEDEN - DEC 21, 2010

UPDATED: APR 27, 2011 Bottle. Hazy dark brown/red with an off-white head. Quite a big aroma with chocolate, fruit and roasted malts. Taste: chocolate, licorice, berries, some knäck, rather sweet, and it also has an acidity to it. A bit above medium-bodied with a somewhat fizzy mouthfeel. I remember it as even better on draught last year, but still definitely one of my favourite Christmas beers this year. drowland (9077) - Georgia, USA - DEC 18, 2010
12/17/10. Bottle shared by fata2683 - thanks, Keith! A surprise here... I really enjoyed this brew! Nice smooth coffee and chocolate aroma with a big coffee flavor that fades into sweet milk chocolate. Quite nice! Mad_Ferret (1025) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - DEC 18, 2010
Dark clear red brownish leathery colour with a beige head. Aroma has lots of dark fruit, raisins, plum, dark winegums, some alcohol. Taste is medium sweet with a strong malty character that contains dark fruits, coffee, some chocolate, maybe a hint of liquorice. A bit warming alcohol in the end and I also detect something like marzipan in the, quite long, aftertaste. It has quite a wine character. It’s pretty well made I guess, but it’s just not my thing.
