Dark brown with a medium beige head. Sweet aroma with fairly hard roasted malt, spices and coffee notes. Flavour had hard roasted malt, spices, dark bitter chocolate and coffee notes. Finished sweet. rickgordon (3878) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - DEC 22, 2009
Dark dark brown colour, almost black, with a rocky head. Aroma like a sweet stout. Grainy malty, with a chocolate backbone, with accompanying mint chocolate, nougat, nuts and a light, elegant touch of un-named spices. Really nice! Mouthfeel is really rounded, bit sweet as it ought to be, with rye bread lingering, followed up by nutty chocolate and an overall feel of chocolate malts, finishing with nougat again. The mouthfeel is smooth and perfect and fairly sweet but far, far from sticky. After is all about nougat and chocolate and lingers nicely with a touch of bitter chocolate. This is the ultimate beer for the Yulebord. larsniclas (7153) - Billdal, SWEDEN - DEC 21, 2009
