Gott

Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 29A/20C). Bottle 33 cl - Batch T719 (BBF 27-04-2019). AROMA: medium-high roasted malt notes with a dark cocoa character. no cherries detected. APPEARANCE: very dark brown to black and opaque with no highlights. low brown head with low retention. slight leg formation. TASTE: similar to the aroma with medium-high roasted malt (dark chocolate and slight coffee-like). medium alcohol notes (vinous). medium to medium-high bitterness with a rosted and almost dry finish. PALATE: medium-high to high body with low carbonation. OVERALL: a fruit imperial stout where the fruit is not perceptible.

The aroma is full of malts, chocolate, coffee, cherries, fudge and cocoa nibs. The color is pitch black. The taste is full of malts, roasted malts, coffee, a slight note of smoke, cherries, fudge, caramel and sugar. A nice beer!

Gerbeer (4217) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - NOV 5, 2017
330 ml bottle. Pours black with slight tan head. Aromas of dark sugar, light smoked roasted malts, and sweetened coffee. Flavours follow same with green wood (cherry?), dry vanilla and sweet licorice. Great stuff sounds sweeter than it is; good balance.

Cunningham (8581) - Halden, NORWAY - AUG 10, 2017
Nice creamy and tasty impy. But I missed some cherry in the flavor.
Raven black color with a fine creamy beige head. Good lacing. Fine chocolate and wood aroma. Full body and a creamy texture. Balanced sweetness. Chocolate, espresso, fruity and wood in the flavor.
[Bottle from Systembolaget in Sweden]

gyllenbock (10310) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - JUL 23, 2017
Bottle, thanks Eddan. Black with a tan head. Sweetish with dark malt, chocolate, licorice, light berries and some oak. The body was full and the finish long.

dorain (754) - Berlin, GERMANY - JUL 22, 2017
Lecker!

W zapachu drewienko, kakao W smaku wyraźna wiśnia, drewienko, czekolada, troszkę kawy. Po przełknięciu zostaje kakaowy posmak na języku. Dobry RIS ale nie za tą cenę.

Bottled 330ml (Beergium)
Opaque black color, small steady brownish head. Roasted malty, cocoa, a bit of smoke, cherry in the nose. Medium-bodied. Smooth toasted, wood, a bit coffeish flavor. Suprisinly thin finish. Covers alcohol quite well. Could be more comples.

Christos (5938) - Arnhem, NETHERLANDS - MAR 21, 2017
(Dugges Six Ways: Cherry Wood) Bottle 330ml at home, served into a snifter, ABV 9.5% Pitch black colour on the body, one finger of thick dark brown head on top, good retention. Aroma of roasted malts, liquorice, oats, light fruity notes. Taste of roasted malts, coal, fruity notes, oats, light chocolate on the finish. Medium thick body, soft carbonation, sticky palate. Pretty good.
