ante (3373) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - MAR 31, 2008
Sampled from the tank at the brewery. Hazy amber with a rich lasting and white foam. Dried black cherries, red berries, spices, yeast and sweet licorice in the aroma. Medium to full bodied with strong fruity notes of black cherries, flowers, yeast, mild spices, sweet licorice and raspberries with grapefruity hoppy undertones. Full creamy mouthfeel. Dried dark fruit, yeast, mild spices and orangey hops in the long semi-dry aftertaste. Extremely well-hidden alcohol, dangerously drinkable. I really hope to sample this from bottles soon. On tap @ the brewery. Amber with a medium off-white head. Fruity and malty tones. Spices, malt and some bitterness.
Medium to full body with long, bitter finish. rickgordon (3878) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - JAN 28, 2008
On draught at the brewery.
Deep amber colour with steady head. Sweet, malty aroma with lots of fruitiness and hints of spices. The hops are there but don’t dominate, they just add to complexity. Fresh, malty flavourwise, with notes of candi sugar and canned fruits. Alcohol shines through here. Dry feel to this beer because of the bitterness. Furseth (2161) - Kungälv, SWEDEN - JAN 13, 2008

(At a blidn tasting)
Shady copper color, creamy tan head. Phenolic, sweet, hoppy, cheeze scent. Also citrus, acidic. Phenolic, dry wood, roasted, coffee, hoppy, cheese taste. Smooth mouthfeel. Coffee aftertaste. Low bitterness.
UPDATED: JAN 14, 2008 Draught at the brewery. Beatiful deep copper with a stable creamy beige head. Fruity malt aroma with some burnt notes, and spicy hops. Silky smooth mouthfeel. Quite dry. An interesting and slightly odd strong belgian. I would have preferred it to be more fruity and less dry and without the burnt notes.
