This robust bock beer is the beer for lengthening evenings. The roasted and smoked malt varieties used give this beer its striking aroma and colour while the fragrant hop varieties and subtle touches of wood provide the beer fullness and depth. This strong beer can be enjoyed on its own but also combines well with beautiful stews.

15-12-2015 Delft Mitra Donkere kleur met lichte crème schuimkraag. Rokerige smaak vanwege de gebrande mout. Stevige bier maar drinkt desondanks redelijk makkelijk weg. Lichte hint naar caramel.

Pint Oak Aged Beer Festival 2015 @ Stadsbrouwerij De Pelgrim, Rotterdam. Snoeperig zoet zacht en rokerig. Backlog from 2015/03/15.

Geproefd tijdens bierproeverij, uitgeschonken in Struise BD glaasje. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tap at Arendsnest, 19th November 15. Quite spicy, lots of dark fruit. Clean and easy to drink. Not bad.

On tap. Pours murky amber with two fingers of creamy beige head. Aroma is sweet malts, plums, raisins, caramel, butterscotch. Taste is similar with caramel and sweet malts along sweet red fruits and a light hoppy finish. Sticky sweet aftertaste, medium body, thick mouthfeel, light carbonation.

On tap at PINT Bokbierfestival 2015. Clear, dark brownish amber with a big, creamy, tan head. Sweetish-malty, smoky aroma of smoked ham, campfire, brown sugar and caramel. Sweetish, smoky-malty taste of smoked ham, campfire and brown sugar, followed by a short, slightly bitter and smoky finish with notes of coffee. Medium to full body, creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Good!

330ml Bottle - Dark brown with red tinges. Ash, beech, ham and dried fruit in the aroma. Smoky, fruity and moderately hoppy taste with beech, raisins, ash, caramel and some faint soapy notes.

Bottle from Bert’s Bierhuis.
The beer is red brown in color and has a creamy tinted foam, with livingly Co2.
In the aroma tones of roasted malts, caramel, nuts and a lot of oak.
The taste is spicy and sweet and further some clear notes of smoke, further a little watery texture.
The finish is light bitter and the smoke is also noticable.

I was actually a bit dissapointed by this beer. The smokeyness is really light, I hoped for more. Its also a bit watery. Still a decent beer though.

Not overly sweet good smokey beer. Aroma is subtle but the taste is great. Smoke, some sweetness. Some bitterness. Medium bodied, low carbonation. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
