Frikkin amazing. Een zacht-zoet biertje met rooksmaak. Maar dan niet op zn duits. Echt heel lekker. mutz (1068) - NETHERLANDS - DEC 2, 2014
Bruinrode kleur, flinke kraag die lang blijft. Aroma van rook, mout, bbq. Smaakt melig bbq, rook mout? Best ok, mocht van mij iets heftiger zijn, beetje vlak. Niet te koud drinken in ieder geval. Sander bedankt! maruno (49) - NETHERLANDS - NOV 23, 2014
In Brand glass, pours are a vert nice dark red-brown with a nice coloured ample head. Smells like smoked meat. Tastes very sweet with interesting aroma’s of meat/bacon smoked on oak wood with a long oily finish. Very smoky and quite delicious. adamnowek (2709) - Brussels, BELGIUM - NOV 16, 2014
This is quite smoky, almost peat-like in taste. Also a bit sweet with a hint of caramel. MrHangover (4502) - Den Haag, NETHERLANDS - NOV 4, 2014
Bottle. Pours a clear brown beer with a small beige head on top. Aroma is smokey, oaky, malty. Thin but balanced aroma. Flavor has a lot a smoke in the back, a sweet start. A lot of dark fruit in the start and touches of apples and fruity yeast. Nice, complex flavors but not too overpowering. Very nice, subtle beer with loads of flavors.

Appearance: Brown body, with nice ruby shades with a big tanned head (3 fingers) . Good retention and leaving nice lacing.
.Aroma: Smoke, Peat and tones of chocolate, alcohol, a bit of vanilla and tanine,
Taste: Starts even sour then goes quite sweet with fruits and caramel before the roasted malts, peat totally overpower it, The aftertaste consist of barley malts, wood, and some vanilla
Medium-Full body and good amount of carbonation.
Not much left of a Typical Dutch Bock but the Peat and smoked and wood tones worked out quite nicely. tderoeck (9656) - Gent, BELGIUM - OCT 30, 2014

Clear ruby red beer, creamy off-white head, little stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: very smoky, caramel, sweet, dried fruits, some chocolate, bit of mocha. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: pretty smoky, bitter touch, citrus, little malty, woody notes. Aftertaste: some caramel, bit of vanilla, dried fruits, little bitter, earthy, peated smokiness.
Lovers of classic Doppelbock’s maybe surprised, but not offended! This beer is, even very different, simply great! Thank’s to D&L for this drinking pleasure! JulienHuxley (5806) - Sherbrooke, Quebec, CANADA - OCT 24, 2014
On tap at 37th bokbier festival. Clear deep red brown pour with creamy off white head. Aroma is really smoky, peated, some woody vanilla notes and quite a bit of butter. Taste is sweet, butter and woody. Palate is heavy bodied with med carbonation. A bit disappointing. blackisle (2577) - Amsterdam IJburg, NETHERLANDS - OCT 22, 2014
Bottle 33cl. Clear dark amber brown color, two finger lasting frothy tan head, recedes slowly to a thick layer, good lacing; aroma rather shy, lightly smoked malts, cocoa, caramel, bit woody, hint vanilla; smooth taste, moderate sweet, roasty light bitter, smoky, chocolate; full body, creamy texture, soft carbonation; finish mild smoky lingering bitterness, sweet caramel notes, some oak. Very good subtle smoked bock.
