Zeer bijzondere, goed uitgevoerde Dubbelbock. Fantastisch hoe subtiel de rooksmaak is. Absolute aanrader. Noudsch (69) - NETHERLANDS - OCT 24, 2010
Dark amber, low carbonation. Little beige head which disappears quickly. Bottle was filled to about 1 cm under the cap.
Aroma: smoke, caramel
Taste: smoke, caramel, coffee, bitterness
Aftertaste: long lasting bitter and smokey aftertaste. Friendly_Rob (24) - Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - DEC 3, 2012
Bottle @home from Mitra in Haarlem. Fantastic Bock! I love the slight smoke taste in combination with te typical bock bitterness. One of the best bock beers tasted so far this year. DwarfeD (3454) - Amersfoort, NETHERLANDS - OCT 4, 2013
33cl bottle at home. Dark amber with a beige head. Medium body with soft carbonation. Smoke, bacon, roast, dark fruits and some chocolate. A great full flavoured smoky exercise.

On tap. Very subtle smoke flavour. I was afraid that it would dominate too much, but it didn’t. Good, traditional Dutch "bok". Quite light ruby coloured. Round and sweet. Very happy with it! maruno (49) - NETHERLANDS - NOV 23, 2014
In Brand glass, pours are a vert nice dark red-brown with a nice coloured ample head. Smells like smoked meat. Tastes very sweet with interesting aroma’s of meat/bacon smoked on oak wood with a long oily finish. Very smoky and quite delicious. Grzesiek79 (4279) - Radom, POLAND - JAN 8, 2014
Dobry Doppelbock z ladna piekna wielka piana, koloru zoltego. Kolor bursztynowy z poswiata czerwonawa. W sapachu figi i inne suszone owoce, nieco pieczonych jablek. W smaku Slodkawe karmelowe z lekko nuta przypieczonych jablek. Ogolnie swietne, alkohol niewyczuwalny. Skromna i jednostronna etykieta. neepsntatties (1975) - Portland, Oregon, USA - JUL 27, 2014
On tap at the 2014 Oregon Brewers Fest. Colour...deep, golden-amber with a thin off white head. Nose...imagine lightly smoked dark toffee! The malt is quite evident, as it should be with a doppelbock, and there’s an oaky smokiness as well. Palate... A big burst of malt hits the palate from the start and maintains its presence throughout! The smokiness is here too but does not overpower the palate, nor distract from the flavours of caramel and fresh biscuit. The finish is lengthy and quite malty with wisps of oak and smoke. This is singularly the finest beer of this style, I have ever had! Thank you for sharing this at the OBF! OllieBBommel (1531) - NETHERLANDS - SEP 29, 2014
