COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Duits & Lauret Stout is a very complex, dark and full-bodied beer. A beer to really take your time for in order to enjoy and experience its rich and complex flavour. An aroma of coffee and dark chocolate can easily be discerned. Roasted accents and a slight bitterness are typical of this beer. The stout combines wonderfully well with oysters or spicy dishes, and certainly with desserts in which chocolate or dried fruits have been used as ingredients.

Bottle 33cl. Ink black with a lushly, firm, beige head. Little aroma, some malts. The taste is rather simple, what’s expected of a stout: firm bitter. But it still tastes like quality somehow.

Very accessible stout. Hints of toffee and chocolate. Nice sweet, bitter balance, but not a long lasting taste. Easy drinkable and quite enjoyable stout.

Aroma:
Slight/medium aroma of malts, caramel, dark fruit, chocolate and roasted malts.

Appearance:
Opaque dark brown/black beer with a slight/medium beige/brown head.

Taste/Palate:
Starts medium sweet with malts, caramel, dark fruit and chocolate; ends slightly bitter and dry with roasted malts.

Overall:
This beer is rather intense, complex and balanced. The aroma could have been stronger. Great appearance and palate too boost this beer. The flavour is good, but nothing spectacular.
