COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Duits & Lauret Stout is a very complex, dark and full-bodied beer. A beer to really take your time for in order to enjoy and experience its rich and complex flavour. An aroma of coffee and dark chocolate can easily be discerned. Roasted accents and a slight bitterness are typical of this beer. The stout combines wonderfully well with oysters or spicy dishes, and certainly with desserts in which chocolate or dried fruits have been used as ingredients.

Prima stout. Is vrij simpel qua smaak maar daardoor wel heel toegankelijk voor mensen die nog niet veel stouts op hebben. Smaakt naar koffie/chocolade en is vrij zoet.

Aroma:
Slight/medium aroma of malts, caramel, dark fruit, chocolate and roasted malts.

Appearance:
Opaque dark brown/black beer with a slight/medium beige/brown head.

Taste/Palate:
Starts medium sweet with malts, caramel, dark fruit and chocolate; ends slightly bitter and dry with roasted malts.

Overall:
This beer is rather intense, complex and balanced. The aroma could have been stronger. Great appearance and palate too boost this beer. The flavour is good, but nothing spectacular.

Bottle from de Mitra in Gorinchem. The beer is dark and chocolate brown but just not black and pours a large cream colored head. The aroma has tones of dark chocolate and coffee. The taste is roasted malts and a nice bitterness from the coffee and dark chocolate. The finish is long with a nice and pleasant bitterness.
