Cask. Aroma of prunes and licorice. Pours black to dark brown with tan top. Tastes roasted malt, dried fruit, and cough syrup. Nevertheless easy drinking with very little languor. I would have it again Mr_Pink_152 (5005) - Lincoln, Lincolnshire, ENGLAND - DEC 2, 2016

Cask conditioned at The Alehouse, Reading, Berks. Black with tan head. There is an odd liquorice and prune note to this from the start, heavy on the palate, bitter. Just okay really. gegwilson (3702) - North Yorkshire, ENGLAND - NOV 30, 2014

Cask at Rutland Arms, Sheffield. Nearly black. Thin, tan, lasting head. Big roast malt, coffee, dark fruit aroma. Taste is dark malt, coffee bitterness. Smooth and rich palate. Feels above its ABV. Mildly bitter, dry finish. Very nice.
