Koelschtrinker (22064) - Köln (Cologne), GERMANY - MAY 29, 2011
11/11/10/10/8/11

Bottle. Slightly hazy Golden with a good white head. Slightly perfumed aroma. Flavour ha citrus hops. Pretty nice. I was drawn in by the ’Champagne’ tag it had. Not equisite but nice to track down a top 20 beer from the hallowed Pale lager category.

MiP (16054) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - MAY 27, 2004
UPDATED: FEB 26, 2009 Bottle. Tea-like aroma and flavour. Sweetish. Mouthfeel seems a little thick, like orange juice or something. Fine-bubbled head which disappears rather quickly. 6 3 7 3 15

Bottle, 5.0%. 5 months past BB date. Sweet, citric, soapy, caramelly, teaish aroma. Hazy yellow colour. Very small white head. The flavour has loads of coriander. A little sweetness. Not much else. 5 3 5 3 13

(Bottled, 4.0% ABV, brewed by Pivo Praha s.r.o., K Fialce 469, Praha 5, tel. 2 24915813) Hazy, pale golden color with medium, frothy head. Spicy witbier aroma. Slightly sweet, fruity and flowery flavor. Light to medium-bodied, soft-carbonated palate. Interesting, but not awesome.

MartinT (10155) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - AUG 7, 2005
UPDATED: MAR 24, 2008 The Lure:
Citrus and banana soap washing the trunk of a pine tree. A tantalizing perfumy, flowery aroma which succeeds in not getting too far away from its intent. Great lasting foam too from this bottle.

The Festivities:
Portly bubbles transport the citrus fruit, bananas and coniferous flavors follow the shampoo suggestions of the aroma. Sweeter than drier, this special champagne beer becomes rather easy drinking once you get accustomed to the soapy, perfumy originality, and when you embrace its subtle wooden hop bitterness in the end. But it might put you off due to its unbeery qualities.

Transcendence:
Exotic desserts can be as fun as they are sickening.

armando629 (2456) - Budapest, HUNGARY - MAY 11, 2008
Pale hazy golden color with a medium head. Soapy aroma of honey and apple. Lively carbonation, flavour of grapes, tonic, lemon. Little soapy taste too. Interesting, but robust like other beers at the brewery.

Grovlam (4257) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - DEC 14, 2008
Bottle. [Tasting session @ Papsoe] Large creamy off-white head that mostly lasted. Good display of lacework. Light cloudy golden color. Aroma of dusty grain, mild grass, caramel. Over the palate came sweet spice, toffee, pepper, yeast. Medium bodied with an average carbonation. Moderated sweet flavour with a hint of bitterness. Lingering spicy sweet finish.

The_Osprey (9666) - Richmond, Greater London, ENGLAND - APR 6, 2015
Bottle share at ChrisO’s. Hazy lemon yellow, small foamy white head, light lacing. Aroma is pot pourri and lemonade. Body is medium, spritzy, slightly foamy. Taste is light lemonade, papery, minerals, almost no malt character. A bit plain, but nothing wrong with it. An interesting take on a lager.
