A Vienna style amber lager. A beautiful copper coloured beer, it is medium in body with a slight sweetness in malt and clean hop bitterness.

Strong aroma of hops. Malt contribution to the flavour is 'roasted out'. The taste leans pretty quickly to a resiny, hoppy bitterness. That said, it is a seemingly smooth bitterness which is not unpleasant.

Faintly hazy dark amber colour with smallish short lasting yellow head. Malt herbal hops and light corny malt aroma. Medium low carb body. Medium bitter with some chemical adjuncts. The rest is kinda forgettable. I'm with ompher on this one and can't see what youse other guys see in this one . . and did I get a hint of cabbage or onion or was it just the Thai takeaway burp.

Well, quite lovely in my opinion. A real treat that us girls out there can enjoy. Really fresh taste with maltiness all over the place: you'll think you're on holidays in the sheep loving capital of the world.

lightly doughy in an altbier kind of way. plenty of organic sourness. some sherbet and dirt

UPDATED: MAR 9, 2004 surprised the hell out of me, i was expecting a revoltingly sweet and soapy "irish red" but got a very classy, hoppy lager. smells of honey and roasted nuts, and tastes similarly, with a bit of light coffeeishness, before big, dry flavours of fresh leafy, herbal hops. yummy. could do with a fuller/smoother texture, but flavourwise i like it a lot. rer8: very faint flavour actually, and faint aroma... common organic beer failing - no intensity or guts. faint caramel and toast on a watery body + peppery bitterness and a faint soapy licorice aftertaste. odd. i'm with ol_j and omhper now

Bottled. Amber colour. Perfumy peach aroma. Sweet nose, short, faint maltiness followed by a dry, salty finish. Confusing...

Yes indeed. Props to duff. Very homebrewy taste and texture (fresh or something). Nice work you little rippers over there on hogsbreath Isle.

Very good!!! True to style (Vienna style lager), sweetish maltyness, with some nice resiny hops to back it up, tasty beer, from a very good organic brewer.

Big spritzy head. Red/amber in colour. hoppy nose. Malty fruity taste.......

I'd have to disagree with Duff on this beer. I didn't think that it was that great at all. Brownish red colour, malty aroma. A bit of malt flavour at first followed by a harsh bitter finish. It needs a maltier start to balance.
