Aroma- Has a roasted malt and toffee aroma, very pleasing
Appearance- Pours a murky orange color with a small off-white head.
Taste- Roasted malt and toffee with some hops thrown in, real good flavor
Palate- A medium bodied moderately carbonated.
Overall- A surprisingly good beer from Dundee, i have had several of their styles before and this is the best that i have had from them
Bought as part of a mix pack from Kroger on the first day of Sunday alcohol sales in GA. Slight hoppiness in the aroma. Pours a clear golden color with little or no head. Not nearly as good as my favorite (authentic) English ales but a decent attempt none the less. garrison (812) - Cin. city, Ohio, USA - APR 20, 2012
Purchased as part of the Dundee Seasonal Pack - This is a fine rendition of an English pub beer, a golden brew with upfront hops and malts, although I find its body somewhat lacking. Still, it’’’s a fine session beer! superspak (6100) - Waterford, Michigan, USA - JUN 29, 2015
12 ounce bottle into pint glass, bottled on 12/8/2014. Pours lightly hazy/cloudy orange/amber color with a 2 finger dense and rocky off white head with good retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a good amount of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Aromas of caramel, toffee, toast, biscuit, light nuttiness, plum, pear, apple, herbal, grass, light pepper, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of dark/bready malt, fruity yeast, and earthy hop notes; with solid strength. Taste of caramel, toffee, toast, biscuit, light nuttiness, plum, pear, apple, herbal, grass, light pepper, and yeast earthiness. Light earthy/spicy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of caramel, toffee, toast, biscuit, light nuttiness, plum, pear, apple, and herbal/yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Good balance, complexity, and robustness of dark/bready malt, fruity yeast, and earthy hop flavors; with a great crisp malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium-high carbonation and medium bodied; with a very smooth, crisp, and lightly creamy/bready mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with zero warming present after the finish as expected of 5.1%. Overall this is a good English pale ale style. All around good complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/bready malt, fruity yeast, and earthy hop flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A nicely enjoyable offering. Tastes like I was playing quarters with a pint of Newcastle. Good, but I wish it didn’t have the metallic aftertaste.

Poured from bottle into pint glass
Appearance – Pours a golden color with a light haze and a billowy white head. The head fades fast to give a lighter amount of lacing.
Smell – The aromas are relatively light, but consist of a bread and caramel aroma.
Taste – A malty flavor meets the tongue. A little bit of caramel sweetness is present up front and intensifies as the flavor moves toward the middle. The breadiness forms a base but toward the middle the caramel starts to fade as a lighter yeasty flavor begins working its way into the tongue. This flavor remains mild and mixes with the bread and a very light citrus flavor at the end which bring the taste to its finish.
Mouthfeel – Medium to just above medium in body with a average level of carbonation. The body suits the abv and malty flavors well. Not bad for the style; it’s very drinkable.
Overall – Not too bad. The beer is easy to drink, has great price, and has a good flavor without being too high in abv. A good session.
Smooth and creamy with lots of fruit in both taste and aroma. Sweet start that turns into a not entirely pleasant tart bitterness. All in all a good beer. Nekronos (4175) - Xalapa, MEXICO - FEB 8, 2015
Interesting and thin. Very enjoyable but not much of a special feature in it. Nice aroma and a little cloudy.
