Unimpressive and flavorless as IPAs go. I didn’t get nearly enough hop flavor that I would expect and the carbonation was a little too strong. emerica56 (600) - Bristol, Rhode Island, USA - JAN 18, 2008
Although the appearance is really nice the flavor does not back it up. It has a rather weak hoppy aroma, and the finish is nothing extraordinary. They also do not do a good job hiding the booze in it. Ghett0Gary (23) - Belmar, New Jersey, USA - JAN 15, 2008
pours a nice amber color with a typical IPA nose. would accompany a 23-year old country styled singer from Oregon. Average IPA...the better of the JWD pack. topherh (1928) - Kearney, Missouri, USA - JAN 15, 2008
12 oz bottle pours a clear amber with a thin white head. aroma is of piney hops and sweet malt. Flavor is of citrus and pine and starts sweet and finishes slightly bitter. Slightly light on the hops by todays IPA standard, but this was actually better than I expected. ElGaucho56 (394) - USA - JAN 13, 2008
Pours copper gold with small white head. Nose is slightly skunky, citrusy hops, very thin on the palate but goes down ok, nothing special.

Nice thick head and lacing.
Aroma is what you would expect from a weak IPA.
Flavor is soapy citrus, pine, metalic, with a smooth bitter finish.
A bit weak but not too bad. Hance07 (192) - DownSouth, Georgia, USA - JAN 10, 2008
pours a nice copper color with a small white head. some piney hops on the nose. flavor is very very weak for an ipa. i actually dont see how this can be called an ipa. there regular pale ale has more hop flavor than this. jetzler (622) - oklahoma city, Oklahoma, USA - JAN 7, 2008
Bottle, a bit of hops character, pours a nice copper color with a frothy white head. Slight malt notes, slight hop notes, nothing too special, Nothing wrong with it, they should have recategorized it as just a Pale Ale, and it would have been pretty decent but for an IPA its just a bit too wimply, but it is balanced. Gregis (1281) - Stilwell, Kansas, USA - JAN 6, 2008
Pours a clear, light copper with a dense, frothy, beige head that leaves behind creamy lace as it diminishes. The aroma is fairly muted for an IPA: piny, citric hops on top of sweet, lightly bready malt. Fairly light bodied, for an IPA, the palate is soft and slick with a mildly bitter finish. Sweet malt up front with citrus and pine notes coming in behind. While it’s a decent drinker, the flavor isn’t particularly inspired. I can think of at least a dozen other IPAs, available locally, that I’d buy before I would purchase this one again. Arayaga2 (2192) - portland, Oregon, USA - JAN 3, 2008
Clear copper color with fast-fading white head. Aroma has a tiny bit of floral hoppiness, and it is sweet, but barely there, with a bit of also-subtle biscuityness. Taste is off and grainy, with a bit of stinging hop presence. Rather light, with a clean finish. A decent macroIPA nonetheless.
