Originally brewed using the Yorkshire square system of fermentation, the nut brown ale calls the North of England home. A hint of hazelnut, a dash of rich caramel and a sprinkle of chocolate malt all intertwine with the flowery bouquet of Willamette hops to produce a round-bodied ale worthy of its homeland. Take a leaf out of our buddy Cyril the red squirrel’s book, and enjoy a Dundee Nut Brown Ale in your own drey. (Drey = a squirrel’s nest. See, you learned something too.)

Pours a dark brown color. Smell is a bit malty. Taste is malts, some nuts, a touch of hops. Overall a pretty good beer.

Mildly intriguing aroma and a thin brown pour leads to a mild taste and basic mouthfeel. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

7/8/12. 12oz bottle. Light chocolate and caramel in the aroma. Some dusty nutty notes in the flavor with mild chocolate and caramel. Eh.

Bottled. Poured crystal-clear medium amber with a short, dense off-white head. The aroma picked up nutty notes, honey, and redder fruits.. sweet overall, and definitely pleasant. The flavor was on the sweet side, with molasses and vanilla over nutty malts.. dry on the edges, but not-so-much hop driven. Light-bodied with high, creamy carbonation.. smooth, somewhat buttery feel.. very drinkable.

Tallahassee, Fl - Market Square Liquors - 12 oz bottle - part of their craft variety pak. Pours a dark tea-colored brown with an initial slight off-white head that fades quickly. Slightly sweet aroma with some nutty accents and a hint of chocolate. Flavor is leaning to the sweet side with some caramel, some sweet nuttiness, and a touch of chocolate. Mouthfeel could stand to be a tad thicker, but not a major detractor.

Bottle. Pours a clear copper with a small off white head leaving spotty lacing. The aroma is caramel malt and chocolate. Thin mouthfeel wit a roch malt and dark fruit and raisin. Easy to drink A good brown ale from Dundee.

Alright, I purchased this one as part of the Dundee Summer Sampler box at the Ferguson Road Kroger - Alright, I emptied my twelve ounce bottle into a clean, clear glass and was impressed by its malty/bready aroma and dark trandparent hue. Tastewise, this one has roasted nalt, caramelike flavor, but is a bit watery on its finish. Still, it would be a fine everyday beer for those who like the nut brown style.

Tasty brew from a Dundee sampler pack. Pours dark brown with a nice head. Flavor is slightly sweet with a hint hazelnut. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
