The appearance had a medium dark brown body with a somewhat off-white frothy head with some slight lacing that slides down the glass as it goes. The smell has a sweet nutty malt with some caramel, subdued in a weird sort. The taste has a slight coffee bitterness followed by some light maltiness. The palate is light and has a fair amount of carbonation in the body. Overall, this is just a decent beer that I would have again, but would rather have it on tap if offered. redpooba (406) - Texas, USA - MAR 12, 2013
A brown ale with an off white head. The beer tastes like a brazilian nut coffee with just a hint of hazelnut perhaps in the background. Finishes clean puboflyons (3469) - Allenstown, New Hampshire, USA - NOV 19, 2011
It pours dark amber with excellent clarity and a small but lingering head. The aroma is average to above average with malts, nuts, and sugar. The body falls in the thin to medium range. The taste is also average to above average for the Nut Brown style with a slightly more presumptuous bitter bite on the tail end. Not a bad beer on the whole. Tallahassee, Fl - Market Square Liquors - 12 oz bottle - part of their craft variety pak. Pours a dark tea-colored brown with an initial slight off-white head that fades quickly. Slightly sweet aroma with some nutty accents and a hint of chocolate. Flavor is leaning to the sweet side with some caramel, some sweet nuttiness, and a touch of chocolate. Mouthfeel could stand to be a tad thicker, but not a major detractor. AR (1002) - Georgia, USA - APR 22, 2012
Light aroma. Light Nutty and Hoppy flavoring. Good malt base. Nice Session beer.

12 oz bottle in a pint glass. Very clear brown. Starts with a decent tan head, but this retreats rapidly, leaving little more than a ring but good lacing on the glass.
Mouthfeel: well-chosen carbonation. Medium-thin body. Beyond crisp, this one is a bit harsh and acidic feeling. Nice, unusually dry (for style and ABV) finish.
Aroma: mild: toasted malt; nutty and lightly spicy.
Taste: a tad light for style; no serious flaws; nice dry nutty finish, perhaps reflecting the "natural hazelnut flavors".
O - Not a typical brown ale, but overall an average quality brown ale. Very good value as part of Dundee ’craftpack’. topherh (1929) - Kearney, Missouri, USA - SEP 29, 2011
Pours brown with amber highlights and a white head. Nose is caramel. Flavor is caramel, earthy malt, toast. AirForceHops (7702) - Epping, New Hampshire, USA - DEC 9, 2011
Bottle from craft winter mix pack. Used my Newcastle glass. Great eye appeal on this one. Thick, full, frothy white head that laced the glass in sheets. Steady carbonation. Has a nutty, caramel aroma. Taste is similar with weak hazelnut as the main flavor. Light hop in the finish. Nothing here is going to impress too much but, it is a decent drinkable brown ale. smaynard6000 (1227) - Apopka, Florida, USA - DEC 13, 2011
Pours a deep brown with a thick beige head. Fizzy. Aroma is similar to other brown ales, bit of caramel malt and a touch of hops. Light bodied and smooth. A bit of hazelnut. Not bad, but not much here to recommend. ccex (1354) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JAN 16, 2012
Bottle from sampler pack pours a clear light brown with small white head and some lacing. Smells like caramel malts and hazelnut. Aroma is the same. Body is a little thin for my tastes. Pleasant nutty finsh. OK, but it’s a stretch to call this craft beer.
