This beer is lacking at best. Watery and without flavor. I expected something more with the name "Honey Brown." Indra (2711) - Suburbia, Kansas, USA - JUL 12, 2001
UPDATED: MAR 14, 2004 This was not so much a beer that I can say is enjoyable. Bright yellow color. Faint amount of taste, and what is there is just sweet enough to be unnerving. Not much in the way of carbonation, palate, or flavor at all, just a bland wash of sugary sweetness. Blah. achtungpv (259) - Austin, Texas, USA - NOV 10, 2001
A beer for sophisticated frat boys.

Not very bown. Not a lot of honey, even if I can probably taste a hint of it. Other that that it is just empty. greatgoods1299 (8) - USA - JAN 20, 2002 does not count
This is one of the most boring beers I have ever had! After one the beer just dies! The flavor disipates and is no where to be found. These Honey browns are about as tasty as something else that is brown?

It’s much better than budweiser, but not better than most micros. On tap, it is terribly sweet, but out of a bottle it’s drinkable. Prostman (1077) - Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 26, 2002
This isn’t that bad to drink in mass quantities. A bar near me offers this at $1 a bottle so thats not too bad. slinkymello (137) - Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA - OCT 17, 2002
I can taste the honey... I just hate this beer for some reason, but I’m still giving it a 5 for overall impression... I actually despise this damn beer... nothing worse than a roommate who swears by this swill and won’t even open his mind enough to at least TRY one of my crazy, wierd beers... amateurs... un-sophisticated morons... not bad I guess; quite sweet... but not in the good way that beers with malt overload are (third coast old ale anyone)... almost too sweet in a sugary, syrupy sort of way... a beer for the common folk... or chicks. pick one. kujo9 (1095) - North Ridgeville, Ohio, USA - JAN 11, 2003
Honey aroma and overly sweet flavor, probably from honey. More discernable in aroma than flavor, but balanced too much toward sweetness to drink more than one or two at a time, but only during really hot days after cutting 3 acres worth of grass. Nice color though. Aftertast is sweet and has carbonation and body appropriate to mega brewed beer. Not a bad beer for beginners. I mean beginners. fishonmyplane (505) - Newington, Connecticut, USA - MAR 11, 2003
What a bad beer! The taste is really terrible. This terribleness masks any honey flavor that might be in there. Honey Brown is nothing more than a cheap, crappy beer that should be avoided at all costs.
