Thank goodness this was free. I'm not going to finish this one since I have an entire refrigerator food of good stuff. Aroma of pale malts. The taste is metallic. Not my favorite beer style either so that doesn't help. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Mild a too sweet for my tastes. Brown and caramelly. Watery finish. Grassy hops don’t lend much depth.

From Oct 2007 This pours from 12oz bottle(part of variety 12 pack) a clear amber with a small but firm head of foam that shrinks to some islands by the end of the session. The smell is of sweet malt and some fruit. The taste has caramel malt, some roasted malt flavour, some fruitiness(cherry, citrus) and a slight alcohol flavour. Hmm..there's not much harmony going on with the flavours here and I'm finding it kind of difficult to take more sips. Nope. This one is not for me.

Malty, fairly crisp. Minimal caramel, some pale maltiness. Okay, I guess. Mix 12 fodder.

light and crisp with minimal sweetness and bread. Hop bitterness near nonexistent. Unassuming as are most of their beers.

Bottle. Clear golden color, thin white head. Aroma of light straw and subtle pepper. Taste is light and lager-like.

Originally rated on 8/13/08. The 6th and final beer from the craft sampler case. Pale bock lives up to the name with a pale brown, heavily carbonated body with a thick head. Slight aromas of malt, flavor was light malts and nutty. Mouthfeel was watery. Overall it was decent, but i probably wouldnt buy it again.

Pours a crystal clear straw color with white head. This lager has some actual flavor

12 ounce bottle into lager glass, bottled on 3 4/2015. Pours crystal clear deep golden yellow color with a 1 finger dense off white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Aromas of cracker, toasted biscuit, light honey, herbal, grass, light pepper, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of bready malt and earthy hop notes; with solid strength. Taste of cracker, toasted biscuit, light honey, herbal, grass, light pepper, and yeast earthiness. Light herbal/spicy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of cracker, toasted biscuit, light honey, herbal, grass, light pepper, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice robustness and balance of bready malt and earthy hop flavors; with a nice malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Very clean on lager flavors with minimal yeast ester notes present. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth and moderately creamy/bready mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very good Maibock style. All around good balance and robustness of bready malt and earthy hop flavors; and very smooth and easy to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

Decent market-adapted brew that leaves little to remember but does its job quite well.

dukeandduke (311) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAR 22, 2015
3/23/15 (Bottle) - Darker gold pour, nice pillow white head, mild carbonation. Sweat, malty caramel aroma. Light malty and caramel bread taste, with little bite and mild texture. Overall average beer.
