Thank goodness this was free. I'm not going to finish this one since I have an entire refrigerator food of good stuff. Aroma of pale malts. The taste is metallic. Not my favorite beer style either so that doesn't help.

Malty, fairly crisp. Minimal caramel, some pale maltiness. Okay, I guess. Mix 12 fodder. slowrunner77 (12051) - Reno, Nevada, USA - SEP 21, 2016
light and crisp with minimal sweetness and bread. Hop bitterness near nonexistent. Unassuming as are most of their beers. Travlr (24875) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - APR 15, 2016
Bottle. Clear golden color, thin white head. Aroma of light straw and subtle pepper. Taste is light and lager-like. BeerRenter76 (1015) - Texas, USA - MAR 19, 2016
Originally rated on 8/13/08. The 6th and final beer from the craft sampler case. Pale bock lives up to the name with a pale brown, heavily carbonated body with a thick head. Slight aromas of malt, flavor was light malts and nutty. Mouthfeel was watery. Overall it was decent, but i probably wouldnt buy it again. mjmoen (536) - - OCT 16, 2015

12 ounce bottle into lager glass, bottled on 3 4/2015. Pours crystal clear deep golden yellow color with a 1 finger dense off white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Aromas of cracker, toasted biscuit, light honey, herbal, grass, light pepper, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of bready malt and earthy hop notes; with solid strength. Taste of cracker, toasted biscuit, light honey, herbal, grass, light pepper, and yeast earthiness. Light herbal/spicy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of cracker, toasted biscuit, light honey, herbal, grass, light pepper, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice robustness and balance of bready malt and earthy hop flavors; with a nice malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Very clean on lager flavors with minimal yeast ester notes present. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth and moderately creamy/bready mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very good Maibock style. All around good balance and robustness of bready malt and earthy hop flavors; and very smooth and easy to drink. A very enjoyable offering. Bork (455) - Rosewood, Georgia, USA - JUN 4, 2015
Decent market-adapted brew that leaves little to remember but does its job quite well. dukeandduke (264) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAR 22, 2015
3/23/15 (Bottle) - Darker gold pour, nice pillow white head, mild carbonation. Sweat, malty caramel aroma. Light malty and caramel bread taste, with little bite and mild texture. Overall average beer. MetalNHopHead (1976) - Lincoln, Nebraska, USA - AUG 17, 2014
Pale Bock? Dundee, are you even trying to sound impressive? The name of this brew made me think of a bad lager. And that’s exactly what this brew looked, smelled, and tasted like. No head, watery body, and malt profile that lacks complexity and, well, flavor. I honestly can’t think of anything complimentary to say about this brew. A- Malty, biscuits, slightly sweet.
A- Golden orange color, clear liquid, no head.
T- Malty, caramel, biscuits, bready, cereal.
P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, malty finish.
O- I’m not sure what Dundee does but I’m pretty sure they bottle one beer under several different labels. The IPA, Kolsch, and this all look the exact same and don’t differ much in taste either. Just a very boring and not so good beer.
