COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Dark and Drinkable. A smooth and classic sweet stout. This dark rich brew is a combination of roasted malts and hops that bring the chocolate and coffee flavors to life.

Lets say you up and decide to throw a wooden barrel of ale in a public display of manliness (I know, just go with it). How then to celebrate? Hint: Youre holding the answer. Thats right, a Dundee Stout. "Stout" is, after all, what brewers have been calling the darkest, heaviest and "burliest" of their ales since 18th century England. That said, ours is sweet, creamy and ironically, pretty light in texture. So maybe the tough parts not lifting it after all. The tough parts putting it down once you have. Go figure.

Pours a dark brown color with an offwhite head leaving a little lacing. Aromas of chocolate, roased malt and a little licorice. Tastes like a watered down guiness, very watery mouth feel for a stout. Not very good.

Light black pour, small head. Aroma is malted and a bit of chocolate. Taste is watered down chocolate milk. Very thin. Not a good stout.

Strong aroma has a core of roast malt, and an odd but not off-putting fishy note. It pours a chocolate brown with a fairly thick light tan head. Flavor has roast malt and chocolate notes plus a hint of molasses and a snippet of coffee. Texture seems a bit thin for a stout, and not very fizzy. Still, an OK brew.

Aged in cellar for 8 months.. Weak, boring, short finish. Bad idea.. Drink fresh ! Even drinking fresh is a bad idea.. Very bland boring stout.. I guess people only buy it cause its cheap :( does Dundee even make a beer they are proud of ?

English Pint. Dark brown with a thin tan head. Minimal lacing. Odor of roasted malts and little else. Roasted malts and chocolate taste, but finishes a little bitter.

UPDATED: JUL 31, 2015 Tasted from a 12oz brown bottle into a nonic pint glass. It poured a dark brown colour with weak beige foam. Too sweet, way too caramelly, not nearly toasty or roasty enough. Medium body and carbonation, thin mouthfeel, some oxidized, soy-sauce notes in the aftertaste. I love stouts, even the cheap, mass-produced ones; this wasnt terrible but it wasnt a good one either.

Pours a dark black with a thin tan head. The taste was a chocolate, coffee flavor. A little dry finish. Very good beer.
