Artificial lemon aroma, pours a clear light amber with a tight white head. Tastes of artificial lemon flavoring and sugar, with no real malt notes to speak of. Very light bodied, and easy drinking if you can get past the artificial lemon flavor. On the plus side, this was on sale, on the negative side, it still wasn’t worth it.

8/9/15. 12oz bottle, sixes from Exit 18. Almost clear golden pour with a small off-white head that sticks as a ring but barely laces. Weird aroma, loads of sweet lemonade, a bit chemically in a way, old green grapes, straw. Off flavor as well, chalky, lemonade, a metallic tinge, grapes in a fruit salad, hay, weird bitterness that doesn’t seem hop driven. Gross.

(bottle - 12 oz) Clear gold with a thin white head. Smells like a mixture of Sprite and lemonade. Flavor is pretty much the same. Lightly carbonated lemonade. Definite Sprite-like finish.

Pours a clear pale yellow with a white head. Aromas of lemon. Taste lemon and very sweet. Little tartness not much though. Ok nothing special Leinenkugels is better. Light on the palate.

Surprisingly delicious. Not too sweet but much like a lemonade. Sight slight ginger note to this lemony shandy.

Bottle. Pours a clear pale straw yellow body with a short lived fizzy white head. The nose is Lemon Pledge with a bit of lemonade sweetness and not a whole lot else. It tastes like most Shandy beers, more like lemonade than beer. Sweet and sugary with a little lemony tartness up front. Can’t really taste anything in the way of malt. Light bodied and super fizzy with a lingering lemonade finish. Not sure what the deal is with all these Shandy beers, I just don’t see the appeal.

Bottle. I finally allowed myself to try thise fruit drink. Of course, after a run, so I finish it quickly. Lemon aroma was ok. The fruity lemonade drink was refreshing. Not really a beer though.

12 oz bottle. Pours a lightly hazed gold with a moderate white head that barely made it to the first sip and left no lace. The aroma is more like Sprite or 7Up than lemon or lemonade. No detectable malt in the aroma. The flavor allows a few malt notes to come through but is dominated by the Sprite/7Up flavor. I enjoy a nice shandy and this one is refreshing as a beverage. I jut wish it was a little less sodapoppish.

Finhead (1814) - OFallon, Illinois, USA - AUG 5, 2014
Pale yellow pour with a white head. The aroma is mostly lemon with some wheat in the background. It has a light, watery texture with average carbonation. The taste is sweet and refreshing with a quick finish. A good beer for the style.
