An American style unfiltered wheat beer. Pale straw in color, our Hefeweizen exhibits a light cloudiness from carefully selected wheat and yeast. With its spicy wheat malt aroma and crisp hop finish our Hefeweizen is a light, pleasantly flavorful beer ideal for warmer weather.

I got this one in the variety 12 pack.

It pours from 12oz bottle a clear light gold with a fairly large head of foam and it has some lacing.

The smell is kind of fruity, kind of malty.

The taste has a fairly malty flavour up front with some wheat flavour in the background but it's lightly done. There's also some roasted flavour but it too is lightly done. Over all, it's not a bad tasting brew by any means and it's pretty drinkable...it just doesn't come over as being a Hefe or even an American Wheat. Would I buy this again:
1) as part of the variety 12 pack? Yes. I'd drink the 2 bottles
2) as a stand alone 6 pack if I saw it? Probably not.

Aroma and flavor is wheat, light citrus/fruit and a slightly tart/kind of bland finish.

Originally rated on 8/6/08. An American style hefeweizen, the label read wheat beer so i hope i am reviewing the right beer. My first beer from Dundee out of my sampler 12 pack was interesting, It was very clear for a hefe and rather cloudy for a wheat, decent carbonation, and a thin white head. There wasnt much aroma to speak of. The taste was of a little wheat, it was kind of bland, but it wasnt offensive. Mouthfeel was o.k. a little thin, but a crisp finish. Overall a decent beer, but i probably wouldnt purchase a six pack of it.

It has a light hazy golden color with an off white or light beige head. The head builds up thick and slowly fades to a thinner covering. The lace is slick and sides down with the beer as I drink it. The aroma has sweet wheat and doughy malt essence along with a light, all most fruity yeast as well. The flavor has some sweet doughy malt and wheat flavors that are a bit light and thin but refreshing. The finish has a light crisp citrus edge that I like. Its body is light with a smooth creamy palate. Its a nice safe flavor. Nothing is out of balance or offensive just mellow.

I recently found the notes of this.
I poured this into a pint glass.
The appearance was a hazy yellow body with a fluffy one finger white head. There was no lacing. Slowly moving bubbles surfaced.
The smell was a combination of malts and wheat, a slight bit of citrus came in close to the end.
The taste was the wheat in front with the malts and citrus combined nicely and taking second place.
On the palate, it sat about a medium, was sessionable, and the carbonation is felt.
Overall, this was not a bad beer. It was just mostly average. I might have this again.

Very light yellow translucent pour with a white head. Smells like dish soap with a hint of yeast. Flavor is a little better but still not very good. The flavor is hard to pinpoint because it is so sweet which overpowers any positive qualities this beer might have. Light body, crisp, definitely a session beer but why would you want to drink more than one of these?

Very smooth and tastey. Crisp and light. I would recommend to a friend. Great for hot summer days on the patio.

Does this have an aroma? The taste is closer to water than wheat... As a lawnmower beer, I can see the appeal. Anything else, however....
