4oz on tap at the brewpub. Labeled simply "BROWN ALE"; 6% ABV. Mostly clear red, slight brown color. Thin off-white head. Leaves great thicker sheets of lace. Solid chocolate; nuttiness. Some earthy hop. Moderate sweet taste, light bitter. Bit dry. Lighter to medium body. Smooth, kind of soft, lighter carbonation. Decent, standard brewpub brown ale. As part of a sampler plate
Clear dark copper color, off-white head. Roasted, dry, coffee taste. Lingering roasted aftertaste. Moussy mouthfeel, medium high dry bitterness. Roasted, malty, slight bit fruity scent.
Pours black-brown with 1 finger of white head and great lacing in glass. Nose is medium-strong of coffee bean. Medium-bodied palate is balanced and not too sweet like some brown ales. More coffee on palate with a long smoky finish.
