COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed with local oats from Flahaven’s mills and coffee specially roasted by Badger and Dodo, the oatmeal imparts a rich smoothness which balances the roasted flavours of the barley while in the background there’s a subtle hint of the earthy espresso flavours.

It pours a dark brown with an light brown fine head that disappears quickly leaving alittle lacing. The aroma is earthy, coffee and grass. The taste is the same but with a watery medium smooth finish.

Bottle at home from Blackrock cellar. Pours black with tan head which disappears. Aroma is coffee, burnt malts, earth, lactose, nuts. Flavour is dry coffee beans, earth, nuts, chalk, wood. Very dry finish with a dark chocolate coffee aftertaste. Oatmeal stouts are usually a bit heavier than this. This is light bodied but has a good flavour. Okay.
