COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A flavoursome, fruity Irish red ale, which uses crystal malt to give a caramel character that is balanced by a light dash of bittering hops. Perfect accompaniment to most meat and game dishes. Contains a yeast sediment - store upright and pour carefully. Best served at room temperature.

I agree with onlyrocknroll, pours hazy orange with a nice head and smells of caremel. The sweet fruit followed by a long dryness is also spot on which makes the beer taste like a cider. A nice beer that I hope will improve, I would certainly have it again even to only take me back to my cider days!

Bottle.clear copper, off-white head. Sweet Caramell, metallic note in the finish. Thin and simple.

Bottle ala Curt. Thanks! Copper color with a few chunks adrift in the flow of bubbles. Moderate taupe colored head. Light dough and flour scents. Light caramel and a mild bitterness late. Quite fizzy and light. Very much an Irish Red, much akin to the American Amber. 5/11

500ml bottle. Sweet bread and caramel aroma. Pours dark red/orange with a large frothy head. Oak and woods notes and an overall sweet dark chocolate malt character. Creamy texture and a touch of bitterness in thr finish.

Appearance: hazy pale amber with a massive fluffy ivory head, excellent retention and patchy lacing. (3/5) Aroma: bready and grainy malt, earthy, grassy, light fruit and nut. (5/10) Taste: moderate sweet, moderate-low bitter. (5/10) Palate: medium body, moderate carbonation, off-dry moderate bitter finish. (3/5) Another Dungarvan brew with a completely ridiculous head, despite normal handling and a fairly careful pour - Im starting to detect a trend here. Fairly bland overall, with a hint of cardboard in the finish. Yet another uninspiring Irish Red. (11/20)

500ml brown bottle. Colour is orange, hazy. Lots of white head with lots of sticky lace. Aroma - caramel with citrus and floral hints. Taste - citrus, caramel, cardboard, minerals, quite dry. Light in body. Overall a decent looking brew, but falls short in flavour and finish. Disappointing. Would not drink again.

Cask, The Whiffler, Norwich, 01/09/15. Loose foamed and eponymous. Ripe eggy wafts, dark varnished wood. Stillness, booze, walnut, drain-like minerality. Vapid finish. Biscuit crumbs. Bland, even after a week on pissy lager and Hopleaf.

Cask at the Water House (JDW), Durham, 1.99/pint Pours dark amber verging on brown with a scummy white head. Nose is sharp and grassy, Taste is surprisingly sweet with caramel malts and some floral hop. Quite a pleasant bitter if a little thin. I could happily session this.
