Oooookay, didn't expect that kind of aroma AT ALL. Well, I grew up in a part of my hometown that was a big construction site at the time. Whole new neighborhood in a process of building. Before that, there was, let's say rural place, small Mediterranean pine woods around and stone all the way. According to that, flora and fauna was pretty developed in that area. So when civilization came, there were still plenty of animals. So there I am, growing up in a surroundings full of spiders, bees, centipedes, caterpillars, lady bugs and many many other beetles. So finally we came to the aroma of this Imperial Black IPA. Mix of squashed centipede and ladybug, but mostly even stink bug. Yeah, even though it teleports me back to my childhood memories, it still damn stinks! Appearance is great, pitch black with big sized creamy brown head, really nice. Taste is roasted as hell, chocolate, extremely strong bitter cocoa, but also has that stink bug feel at the beginning, luckily it goes away in the aftertaste which is pretty neat. Cocoa all the way, some herbal notes, roasted AF. Really intense and interesting, I would go for a 9/10 if it's not that sting bug start. Palate is also a bright side, medium bodied, soft carbonation, creamy and silky. Quite enjoyable, but that aroma.... //bottle from Craft Room Tasche39 (492) - SPAIN - AUG 25, 2017

Draft at the source. Pours black with a creamy beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate and pine. Taste follows nose with lactose notes. Doesn’t seem as hoppy as many U.S. black IPAs. shawnmurphy (738) - Plattsburgh, New York, USA - MAY 30, 2017
On tap at Isle de Garde in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Pours nearly opaque brown with tan head and lacing. Aroma: prunes, smoke. Flavor: figs, molasses, dates, campfire (quite smokey). Mouthfeel: light- to medium-bodied, lingering bittersweet smokiness. guil0000 (433) - New Brunswick, CANADA - MAY 12, 2017
Pours a dark black color with a small beige head. Nose of coffee dark malts, spicy, pjney nose with some flower notes in there. Tjere also is some refreshing fruity notes. Taste is at first very smooth and then you get the well mixed dark malts and hoppyness. I think this is very well made.

On tap at Darby’s Gastown in Vancouver. A black beer with a moderate tan head and a faintly roasted malt nose. Notes of molasses and roasted barley. Good for type but cannot hold a candle to the Dunham coffee stout moments ago. 3.6 PilsnerDoctor32 (587) - madrid, SPAIN - MAR 24, 2017

Bouteille 341 ml.
