Black color with beige head. Aroma has lots of coffee, a bit fruity hops. Taste is coffee, fruity, hoppy, dry bitter finish. Oily mouthfeel. Very good! radiomgb (2686) - Peterborough, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 21, 2016
341ml bottle. Black in colour with a large and lingering tan head, excellent lacing. The aroma is of roasted malt, dark chocolate, citrus hops, some espresso. The flavour is of citrus hops, chocolate malts, piney hops. Intensely bitter mouthfeel, medium body, high carbonation. Finishes long and quite bitter. These Black IPA’s always catch me off guard but there is something about a hoppy porter that I really enjoy. melush (4970) - SPAIN - APR 3, 2016

On tap at Darby’s. Pours a ln almost black with a dark beige head. Aroma is hoppy and roasted malt. Taste starts with toasted malt notes with piney hoppy bitterness after and roasted malt finish. Very nice and balanced black IPA. Grumbo (4290) - Ipswich, Suffolk, ENGLAND - OCT 4, 2017
Bottle from Saveur Biere. Pours dark brown with a slight red tint and an average sized lasting off-white to beige head. Aroma is heavily roasted, malty, chocolate, hop, wood, toffee and dark fruit. Moderate sweetness, with heavy bitterness. Medium to full body, slight oily texture, soft carbonation. Level of bitterness and roasting dominates the finish, possibly a little too much, but a very good beer overall.
