On tap at Vice et Versa, pours a cloudy golden / blonde with a small off-white head. Aroma certainly smells like a Belgian hybrid, with noticeable Belgian yeast and a touch of candied sugar, as well as a zesty dry hop bite. Flavour begins more Belgian-y, with yeast and some subtle candied sugar, transitioning to dry citrusy hop and some zest. Well-balanced, with a pleasant astringency. Very good. A hazy amber IPA with a thin creamy off white head. In aroma, pleasant perfumey malt with light floral hops, lightly pungeant. In mouth, a smooth malt with good bitter hops, very herbal, very green, lingering, oily mouthfeel, good stuff. On tap at V&V, August 15 2010. crossovert (13724) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUN 23, 2013
Floral, spicy, nice bit of citrus. Lower abv belgian ipa is nice with plenty of yeastiness. j12601 (13027) - Poughkeepsie, New York, USA - FEB 12, 2011

2011-06-25. Crisp dark yellow body with a small white head. Mdoest hop aroma, lemony citrus 7+ Flavour is similar, dry lemon citrus, straw and grass, mild pale malt. 7+ Average bodied palate. 750ml bottle shared with Parksy, Grippitis and others. Hazy gold, lively off white head. Fairly muted palate with lightly spicy yeast and floral/citric hops, kind of low-key all around. Not a bad beer, but nothing stood out for me. MartinT (10037) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - DEC 30, 2010
My Bottom Line:JoeMcPhee (9516) - Toronto, ON, Ontario, CANADA - APR 2, 2011
This Belgian-style IPA’s rough yeasty, phenolic nose thankfully gives way to lightly toasted, caramelized cereals and gripping coniferous hop bitterness for a drinkable but unrefined experience.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A generous head of foam covers the shiny copper.
-The pine-y hop bitterness maybe unbalanced, but it saves the second half of each sip from being too yeasty and dull.
-The overly yeasty nose is dusty, bready and laden with bubblegummy phenols.
-The soft effervescence and medium-sized body are uneventful.
-The yeast is just too omnipresent here, taking over malts and floral hops in the aroma and flavor profile. Thank God for that American hop finish.
-This is really not of the same caliber as their wonderful Pale Ale.
UPDATED: OCT 28, 2013 Rerate from a 750 ml bottle. Hazy golden pour with a thick white head. The aroma is quite lovely. A fairly juicy mango and apricot hop note along with a bit of fruity yeastiness as well. Moderate bitterness with a touch of lingering sweetness as well. There is a little bit of soft lingering fruit as well. The body is a little bit light, but it’s a whole lot better than I gave it credit for the first time around.
Amber pour with a tight creamy white head. The aroma is softly spicy with notes of black pepper, pine and a hint of grapefruit. The yeast is surprisingly restrained with some light clove notes but little else to suggest it’s presence. It is fresh and dry with a very assertive bitterness. It’s decent, but doesn’t blow my mind.

Smells yeasty almost like a belgian wit. Theres a lot more of the Belgian in this than the ipa. The overall taste is more like a belgian ale, with a little hops. Pours cloudy blond with some head and not much lacing. Pretty good. Tap at volos.
