Minderbinder (3469) - Québec, Quebec, CANADA - JAN 30, 2017
Bottle 750ml. Pours very hazy orangey with low-medium white head. Aroma is of bretts, fruits, wild yeast, apricots. Taste is of bretts, rags, bitterness, weird berries, apricots. Palate: Medium body, medium carbonation. Overall: Quite nice.

Bottle (750 ml), shared with Minderbinder. Cloudy orange with a small white head leaving little lacing. Aroma is intensely leathery brettanomyces forward with lots of fruitiness, some funk and light perfumey notes. Taste is also leathery brettanomyces and fruit forward with mild herbalness, very little acidity (leaning much more toward funk) and perfumey notes. Medium body. Moderate carbonation. Dry and leathery finish. The strong brettanomyces presence help to get everything together but even then the sour Kekriek notes hinders the balance a bit. This beer has evolved in something heavily brett forward but also super drinkable and quenching.

Tasting at Eugene’s
Hazy to cloudy golden color. Nice mellow and funky aroma, lightly fruity. Nice sourish and carbonated, very funky, I like that it’s mixed with fruitiness. Complex and woody final.

Pours clear pinkish with some foamy head and spotty lacing. Nose is fruity and barnyard. Flavours of papaya juice, honey, dough, some grapefruit. Taste light sweet, light bitter and light tart. Medium body, medium carbonation with a juicy finish.

My Bottom Line:
Pink grapefruit, its fruitiness, acidity and pulp, dominates this breakfast mimosa-like brew.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A slice of foam tops the murkiest of pinks. There are as many floaties in here as there are in actual, fresh grapefruit juice.
-Mouthfeel is lean and fizzy.
-The flavor profile fails to offer more than the fruitiness of various citrus fruit.
-A mineral touch comes from the prickly carbonation.
-While this is certainly drinkable, this is a rare Dunham miss for me. Lacks the usual refinement on many fronts.
-Now that I see other ratings, I am convinced by bottle had gone awry. Will need to try again.

(Bouteille): Jus de papaye et caractère boisé, moyennement gras, hyper lumineux, pulpeux avec une touche cuirée bienvenue. Superbe.

750 ml bottle. Pours a very cloudy dark yellow orange-brownish with a resilient white head. Aroma is sour cherry, oldish, woody and dry. Flavor is sour raspberry, dry, oldish, dusty. Finish is very sour, dry, woody, some fruit, mostly raspberry. Lingering strawberry, some slight bitterness in the finish. Wine, also. Medium body, average carbonation. Very solid.

(1670-011215)

750mL bottle, pours a cloudy murky golden orange with a large white head. Aroma is super funky, with loads of brett funk - not getting much else. Flavour brings out a very earthy funk, with cleaner notes, earth and barnyard funk. Smells better than it tastes, as the taste has too much cleaner quality. It’s good, but not near the regular Assemblage #2.
