COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A blend of 50% Doubel Red Ale aged in Sauternes barrel with wild microflora, and 16,66% each of Double Dose Sauternes, Troïka aged in chardonnay barrels and Orange de Dunham. The result is an intriguing mildly sour amber-reddish ale with loads of brett character. PH : 3,6

Bottle split at RB Best awards dinner, thanks, 30/01/16. Hazed orange amber with a decent off white covering. Nose is tarte citric rinds, wood must, funk, grains, dirt, straw. Taste comprises tangy orange, herbal notes, wood must, funk, barrel, green berry funk. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close with a light puckering blow.

On tap at Bateau de Nuit during the Dunham Tap Takeover. Pours a hazy brown with a thin offwhite head that coats the glass quite nicely. Nose is of oak, grapes with some caramel. Taste is of grapes and red wine with a pretty hard bitterness, almost harsh even. Oak with a slightly burnt character. Tannic like drinking some black tea. Body is medium, carbonation moderate and mouthfeel is lightly vinous. A good intensely tannic lightly sour wild ale. That’s my take on it.

(1869-040716)

Bottle: Poured a cloudy dirty amber color ale with a large dirty beige head with good retention and some light lacing. Aroma of sour and tart notes with some funky ester is pleasant. Taste is also a mix of funky tart notes with some of the malt from the base beer coming thru and some light acidity. Body is full with good carbonation. Not bad but some of the flavours were not as well balanced as I was expecting.

Bottle from marche du village thx Alex for buying A: cherries, red fruits, woody, some barnyard App: clear reddish brown with thick white head and great lacing. T/p: thin to body with moderate long acidic finish. O: looking super pretty, not ultra complex in aroma nor taste but still pretty decent.

750mL bottle, sent from yourilevesque (thanks a lot, Youri), pours a hazy amber red with a medium beige head. Aroma is quite funky, with red wine barrels, barnyard funk, and horse blanket. Flavour is very wild tasting, with red berries, barnyard funk, and oaky red wine barrels. Complex and well-integrated. Very good.

Tasting at Ferris’
Cloudy dark amber color with no head. Nice aroma, fruity and funky. Strong, funky, but also very yeasty; it’s a bit sour, astringent.
Mixed feelings. Dirty.

Bottle - Flowery and herbal notes and nectarine. Cloudy gold with a nice beige head. Bitter pit, peppery and a long stone fruit finish.
