A reddish amber ale woth a thin off white head. In aroma, nice fruity cranberries with light oaken corky notes. In mouth, cranberry with nice lactic points, acidic and refreshing, talcum, very nice. On tap at Vices et Versa, Nov. 4 2011.

slightly acidic cranberry taste, oaking took some of the edge off what could have been. Strong carbonation. Not so drinkable.Pinkish tones.

2011-10-30. Murky dark orange-amber body with a sall frothy white head. 3+ Lightly funky sour aroma, fruity, cranberry, some other fruit notes I can’t quite place. 7+ Flavour is similar, tart sour cranberry, with just a bit of funk throughout. 7+ Average palate is zippy. 3+ Pretty nice. [4065-20111030] Cask. Fruity corn meal aroma. Murky, pink orange body with a long-lasting creamy off-white head. Fruity tart yeast flavour has a long fruity aftertaste. Medium body is fairly tart. Good. (6/3/7/3/14) 3.3+

(Rating #4104)

Cask at Cask Days 2011. Beer #11 of festival. Pours a murky pinkish-amber with a small quick diminishing off-white head. Sour fruity aroma, funky and tart, with lots of wood, some sugary sweetness, lactic notes and maple syrup. Flavour follows the aroma but is a little more subtle, it’s quite easy to drink. Average to medium bodied. Not a session beer by any means but a pint of this is very enjoyable.

Cask Days 2011
Aroma creamy oak character, tart fruity berry feel. Interesting blend.
Appearance foamy, white creamy top on pinkish-red amber base.
Flavor and Palate : Very tart, cereal feel, hint of oats top end noted by oak. Soft chewy textures. Very different in so many ways. Love or hate beer.

In short: An original, tart and semi-wild cranberry ale
How: Tap at Vices & Versa, Montreal
The look: Opaque clowing dark orange topped by a persistent small white head leaving lots of lacings on the glass
In long: Nose is a bit on the wild side with rustic notes and mild funky notes over fresh cranberries. Taste is fruity with cranberries and tropical fruits, chewy cereals, dried orange peels, pleasant tartness of medium intensity, medium acidity level. Very full body with a smooth carbonation. At first I didn’t notice any oak, but the finish definitely has a woody astringent dryness. This beer is part thirst-beer, part nourishing beer and part sipper. Looks like some people really liked that beer and some people didn’t care for it. That’s ok, a rating is basically a very private thing… hey you! I never gave you the permission to read this.
