COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Tap. Moderate malt aromas of grain and caramel, heavy pine and perfume for the hops, light soap for the yeast, with a hint of peach in the background. Head is small, frothy, white with excellent lacing and good legs and mostly diminishing. Color is sparkling clear light amber. Flavor starts moderately sweet and lightly acidic, then finishes lightly sweet and moderately bitter. Palate is light to medium, watery with a lively carbonation and a tart finish. Well balanced and well rounded IPA. I could drink lots of this.

A fantastic drink. Great lacing on this. Aromas are fairly dank. Flavors are smooth and hoppy. Notes of tropical fruit. Awesome stuff.

Citrus, candy. Caramel malt, fruity, mild hoppy finish. A classic but smooth and well done hoppy APA.

Slightly murky orange in colour with a thin white head, light lacing. The aroma is of pale malts, orange citrus, light sweetness. The flavour is quite bitter, lots of citrus hops, good malt balance. Bitter mouthfeel, medium body, moderate carbonation. Finishes long, bitter, hoppy. This is very nice. Excellent hop bite in this one, verging on IPA territory. I want more.

Lore (2661) - Budapest, HUNGARY - NOV 26, 2016
hazy golden to orange colour, huge dense off-white head; aroma of grapefruit, pine resiny and overripe tropical fruity notes, biscuits and hints of sauerkraut; taste is almost completely dominated by bitterness, which, unfortunately masks all of the other notes those are fully present in the aroma - it’s a pity, because it could be a really great APA

This is a great beer! Pours light orange with a huge foamy head and big clumps of lacing. This beer is possible 5-6 months old, maybe even a bit more which may explain the floaty chunks and the foamyness. Nose is piney and fruity. Aromas are pine up front, some light fruit through the middle with a more flowery hop finish. Tastes are light bitter to start, then some light fruit and finally a nice medium bitter finish. Mouth is medium body with lively carbonation. Really nice beer that I’ll re-rate again someday with a fresher example.

341 mL bottle. A rather unappealing hazy brown-yellow. Aroma is nice - C hops. Sweet orange, mostly. The flavour is pretty good as well. Nice bitterness from start to finish. The hops add grapefruit and some resin. Just a touch of caramel. Pretty good.

341 ml bottle. Pours a somewhat sediment-filled straw with a resilient white head. Smells like grains and citrus. Tastes like cereals, grains and yeast. Very dry. Sharp sandy, herbal, hoppy, lemon bitterness in the finish. VERY lemony bitterness. Light-to-medium-bodied, creamy. Excellent pale ale.

Draft sample. Orange in colour with medium carbonation. Classic American Pale ale aromas of white grapefruit, flowers, and a touch of caramel malt. Florals, pine, and classic citrus notes continue on, but are somewhat blunted by some strong fat pale malt notes. Medium bodied, but with a smooth mouthfeel that seems somewhat inappropriate for the style. Moderate bitterness by today’s standards. Outclassed by the Nickel Brook Naughty Neighbor that my wife was drinking.

bulldogops (2490) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - NOV 28, 2014
Rating #1059 - April 16, 2014 - 6pk from Keg N Cork - 5.5% Aroma is a spicy, grapefruity eruption right out of the can into the pour. Pours a straw yellow colour with a perfect sticky white foam, spotty lacing, decent retention. Medium carbonation, mild-medium alcohol warmth. Palate is a decent lemon grapefruit citrus hit, with some sticky pine resin notes, and a comfortable ABV - supah dupah crushable. Worthy of being my beer to cheer on the habs on the #drivefor25.
