341ml bottle from Grand Duc. Batch 2 most likely. 2-3 weeks after release.czar (9610) - Québec, Quebec, CANADA - MAY 15, 2011
Appearance : Clear pale yellow with big white fluffy head. Extensive lacing.
Aroma : Crisp citrusy and floral hops. Very sharp and fresh. Freat malt with lots of fruits. Light honey, light yeast.
Taste : Great malt with citrusy and floral hops. As sharp and fresh as the nose. Finish is rather bitter but very fresh and crisp. Floral and citrusy notes. Other fruits too. Light resinous notes. No alcohol.
Overall : Wow. This is a huge surprise. Easily the best APA bottled in Quebec. Hell it even kicks the ass of all the our bottled IPAs. Intense hops on nose, very fresh and refreshing. No alcohol. Awesome fresh taste with a nice bitter kick on the finish. Some fruits seems to be coming from the yeast. At 6.5% with that much hops, it’s probably on the line between APA/IPA (comments ?). Anyone wanting to try this needs to seek this ASAP because it doesn’t seem like a beer that can hold fresh very long. Perfect summer beer.

UPDATED: OCT 17, 2012 Aroma: Citrus, lemon, grapefruit and a bit of banana. Hoppy floral accents as well. Very complex nose.
Appearance: Hazy blond with small particles. Head is generous, white, mostly lasting and average lacing.
Taste: Grapefruit and citrus are dominant. Cascade is working well. Hops are very dry and cutting. Bitterness is strong and powerful but it’s also easy to drink. Very well balanced and complex. Tasting more like an IPA than a pale ale. Makes a good upgraded everyday beer.
Re tasted from cask at Vice-Versa in Montreal on October 6th 2012: Aromas are sticking out more with more cereal and floral accents than bottle. Color is a little bit darker, almost gold. Head is marvelous and holding very long. Flavors are same as bottle but a bit more faded. Still a very good APA. Worth trying in cask at V-V. Holmen1 (6651) - Stavanger, NORWAY - AUG 17, 2013
Bottle from the brasserie. Pours a hazy deep yellow with a small white head that leaves some lace. Nose is heavily pine and grapefruit. Nice and bitter with the hops very forward and just a touch of sweetness in the background. Good medium slick body with medium carbonation and a long dry bitter finish. Slightly murky orange in colour with a thin white head, light lacing. The aroma is of pale malts, orange citrus, light sweetness. The flavour is quite bitter, lots of citrus hops, good malt balance. Bitter mouthfeel, medium body, moderate carbonation. Finishes long, bitter, hoppy. This is very nice. Excellent hop bite in this one, verging on IPA territory. I want more.
